This is a group for people with Herpes. Those without Herpes are welcome to join, but primarily, the purpose is to provide a forum for those infected with Herpes to meet others in the same situation for discussion, dating, advice, meeting, or whatever floats your boat. If you feel threatened by joining because your user ID will be visible to others, I urge you to be courageous and "step up". If you can't do that, perhaps start with a second ID/persona until you feel comfortable enough to be totally visible. The social stigma of having herpes is certainly hard to overcome, no doubt. But, if enough people step forward and admit to having it, that will open a lot of doors for clear, honest communication and relationships. I will ban anyone I judge as being nasty to others.
