Do you know how hard it is to get coffee made when your kitchen stuff is all in boxes...I recently cut my finger with a steak knife that was in the wrong place...I was just trying to get a spoon...lol

The smell of wood

Generally new wood has a great foresty smell. I do enjoy that fresh smell. The new kitchen cupboards are now in and completed. They are truly beautiful...a bit smelly..like fresh cut wood..but beautiful. The inspector has to inspect them..then templates made so that they can make the countertops.
The drywall guy has to fix the massive holes in the drywall that were made taking off the tiles that apparently were glued on with cement...like what??? But anyways, he's coming back to fix the huge holes..before the tile guys get here.
Anyways..I'm glad to see some progress and the pets are glad the noisy carpenter is gone...
Now to take my long awaited nap...Zzzzzzzz

Renovation is messy.. Kitchen renovations are very complicated... and now.. I have learned to run a pink extension cord to my fridge (which is in my living room at the moment..lol)...
Life is exciting sometimes..
and there will be no countertops in my bathrooms until a week from today or later...
I think this is the last time I will ever do this...lol

Finally I got an email that says when this and that is going to happen regarding the renovation... Openned it up..
only half a sentence was there..
Had to re email them for the whole email to be sent again..lol
This renovation is supposed to take a week and a half when it gets going..
Can't wait!!..

Well.. the cabinet people say they will start the kitchen in a week from tomorrow.. So.. I can quit running around so fast.. and think a little more clearly this week..
Good thing.. because the farm kitchen needs some time to catch up..
I'm truly exhausted and sleep deprived...
But the hard part is done..and I"m leaving the rest up to the professionals..
I had no idea ...
But.. we must carry on.. and I don't really regret getting the ball started in the first place... It's all going to work out.. I'll make it work...
Many hands.. I guess a quite a few people are involved in this.. It's not just me..
Many hands make light work.. or at least a bit lighter work..lol
Yay.. bed time...Dont even bother being in the line to the left.. I'm already sleeping while typing this..lol

I actually am doing some pretty serious renovations in two houses at the same time..
i didn't lose my marbles when I dropped the chinese checker marbles all over the floor..
But maybe I have well and truly lost my marbles now...
Fixing up the city house at the same time as fixing up the farm house..
No sane person does that...lol
Anyways.. I'll let you know how it goes..lol
