Please excuse my posts if they seem be difficult read. For whatever reason, this blog tends leave out words after posting. I don't know why. So, understand, I am really far more literate than the post appears make me.
So, Thursday, Jess and I went out meet a gentleman see if he was play material for her. We were going meet at Wanker's Corner Saloon in Wilsonville, but when we got there, it was closed. They were apparently having the entire establishment professionally cleaned ensure it was COVID free. So, we ended up at Applebee's. We enjoyed a great dinner and excellent conversation. The man we met was quite talkative and reasonably intelligent and personable. We chatted until around 9:30 then went out where our vehicles were parked and chatted some more. About :00 we said our good bye's and went home. Sorry everyone, no sexy details.
On our way home, I asked Jess what she thought about the gentleman. She was quite taken with him and said she really liked him. She could definitely see herself playing with him in the future. Well, it seems that on Wednesday evening, she may get her chance. If we can make all our schedules work out, then we will be meeting him again then. Or maybe it will just be Jess. We will have see how it works out.
Today, I was to meet a couple in Eugene. This was simply a meet and get to know you situation. Because Jess could not make it, I went alone. The couple in question told me to meet them as Skinner's Butte Lookout at 3:00 p.m. This morning we exchanged a few "good morning," texts.
As I was leaving, I sent a text letting them know that I was on my way and would probably be about five minutes late as I had to stop and get gas on the way. So, I head out and stop in Albany to fill up. Traffic on I-5 was horrible due to an accident. But, my GPS was informing me that I was only going to be two minutes late. Cool. I actually arrived at 3:01. They were not there. I sent a text saying that I had arrived. No response. I tried to the phone number only be sent directly voice mail. Tried again a few minutes later, same result. At 3:20, after still having no response, I realized I had been the victim of someone's game. Went home.
What possesses people be so cruel others? I mean, after two days of talking on the phone and texting back and forth, why would someone ask me drive 60 miles knowing they weren't going be there? I wasted all that time and gas.
exacerbate the situation, I-5 northbound was at a crawl from just south of Albany all the way into Salem. Seriously, we are talking stop and go traffic all the way in. What should have been just over an hour drive took almost three hours. I eventually exited off the freeway and took the back roads home. It didn't save me any time, but at least it was a prettier drive.
Well, that's the post for today. Again, if it seems to be missing words, please understand that it isn't my fault. It is the fault of the program.
