in the darkness
the deep recesses of my mind

a bead of sweat
a shiver down my spine

Open are my eyes

sweet and demure,
handsome man,
gruff and secure.
Together a couple,
are one and alive,
apart a shamble,
unable to survive.
The sweet, the demure,
the gruff, the secure,
if two are to be one,
then they will need a cure.
Be kind, be faithful,
be true, be a friend,
hold each other closely,
and the love will never end.

Before me the beautiful green eye of an enchanting woman,

The lashes are lush.
I see kindness and compassion,
I see passion and caring,
I see a woman deserving to be loved and not judged,

I see the window to a heart that is immense,

Tonight I heard a voice,
It’s sound was like an angel,
It touched my heart
The voice laughed,
It made me smile,
It made feel warm inside.
Oh, was I nervous,
Not knowing what to expect,
Within seconds there was this feeling,
A calm and loving one.
The colors were vibrant,
The vibrations were soothing,
The picture playing in my mind
Was one of joy,
The nervousness was gone
In a flash, I felt at ease,
This voice, This voice
I look forward to hearing it again.

There comes a time in one’s life,
When you must release what’s been locked away
The heart that’s been trapped behind a cage
Locked away with bars made of fear.
There was always hope that it would someday
Be released by a kindred soul, by the rarest of women
No longer held captive by a world of hurt
Finally able to show its full potential.
To love like it has always wanted
To shead the tears of happiness
To melt from the warmth of a angel
To swell with the outflow of emotion.
The key that unlocked the cage
Was forever lost, but now found.
Yet the cage door is held ajar,
Just waiting to be eased open from afar.

This is a poem that came to mind and flowed from the heart while looking out my back door.
Pinks and blues
A hint of lavender too.
The sunset so brilliant,
The universe showing off.
The colors oh so vivid,
The lighting so serene.
The hopes of a hidden sky maiden,
For all the world to see.
Alas its getting dimmer,
The colors start to fade.
Darkness is taking over,
To let the maiden sleep.
The stars are a faint glimmer,
They're waking to all their glory.
The brilliance is shining
Like a thousand glowing embers.
The night has come on its journey,
A lonely moon to show the way.
The quietness of the maiden,
Makes all your troubles fade away.
Troubles that will never wake again.
