Coronavirus

The US surpassed 0,000 deaths yesterday June 30th.

Source: Worldometer

The US continues not follow guidelines. The US only tests 200,000 per day when it should be testing 2 million per day. The US is not doing contact tracing. And more and more Americans ignore social distancing and wearing masks.

Source: Op-Ed

The United States announced more than 48,000 new coronavirus infections yesterday, another daily record, and an increase of 80 percent in the past two weeks. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, warned the Senate that the number could soon reach 100,000 a day if the country does not act quickly.

European countries began allowing visitors from outside the E.U. today but excluded most Americans because of the U.S. outbreak.

Joe Biden accused President Trump of having “surrendered” to the virus. Biden said that, if elected, he would give Fauci an “uncensored platform to speak directly to the American people — whether delivering good news or bad.”

Too hasty to re-open, the US is bucking the trend across the world, and not in a good way. Our tory politicians are almost gleeful at how bad the US is because it gives them something to hide behind. It's a horror show. Desperately sad.
Yes the world is definitely taking notice on how terribly the US is coping with the Coronavirus.

One bit of good news - some of the republicans are finally speaking up and telling people to wear masks. Where were they 4 months ago?
Good to hear. They were probably allowing other agenda with regards to the Coronavirus to interfere.

About 97% of people that get COVID are fine. What needs to be done is to isolate the people that are vulnerable: over 80 y/o..peple with diabetes, HTN, autoimmune diseases...and the big one OBESITY. If you are under 45 and no underlying illness or obesity...you are fine.
Yes that is very true. But everyone needs to be careful as well. And follow guidelines. So they don't infect others.

Those may be "okay" except they could very well be asymptomatic and spreading the virus to vulnerable people and others who are also asymptomatic and continue to spread to more and more people.

It's a lose lose situation.

If everyone would just wear face covering until the US has it under control everybody would be better off.

Look at the other countries who have flattened the curve simply because ALL the people did what was necessary I. E. wearing a mask.

Humans are the most dangerous animals on earth.

If only animals had the ability to know when to keep away from us humans they would be better off.
