Some of y’all may have noticed that Spankandsquirt’s (a.k.a. Spanky) account has been deactivated. I got a message from her and she is fine (very fine IMO ) and has told me her account was banned for a reason unknown to her. The site isn't replying to her emails. I can’t say I’ve seen her write anything that would come close to violating the ToU etc. All she’s been is a cool lil blogger.

I’ll also quote her as saying: “grrrr”, possibly some soUrt of Canadian curse woUrd – not really sure abouuuut that . . . eh.

Important October Awareness Items

No this is not about Halloween. Women have to deal with a of unpleasant things in their lives besides some of the BS they deal with here. The following 2 items are given more awareness during October. We should all be aware of them on a regular basis and /fight them whenever we can, not just in October.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month (wear Purple)
Women I have known and loved have been affected by domestic violence. It hurt them deeply and not just physically, it leaves deep emotional scars. That in turn can hurt their loved ones. It hurts to hear that someone you love has experienced repeated physical and emotional violence. If you know of someone in that kind of situation they may not be able to report it. Do it for them if you can. Help them get whatever help they need.

Several of the women who regularly read my posts have told their stories of domestic violence on their own blogs. They are hard stories to read but if their stories inspire, or open the eyes of, more women so they can escape then IMO it is worth it if they read it. To give more awareness to Breast Cancer Awareness Month and similar to the domestic violence postings above I will here, any Breast Cancer Awareness postings I read to spread the word.

Which ESPN football show host was born on this date? No one, I mean no one got this one. And people this dude is pretty much a humor clone of yours truly (a.k.a. moi) Trey Wingo (yes that is a/his name). The dude is friggin hilarious. He hosts a daily football program on ESPN named “NFL Live”.

A hearty hoist of me grog tankard to all who played . . . AAARRRRRRRR ! ! ! Thank you to all who responded here and on Lala”s post [post 3887335] . . . aannd speaking of Lala’s post . . .

Lala was talking to herself (again) and asked and answered to herself (again): “Why is he my friend? Hell if I know. I mean, his beard isn't even red.”

One thing that sucks is there aren’t any Renaissance Faires in September, around here, otherwise I would get into my privateer (a.k.a. pirate) get up and do an R’faire for my b’day. But there is one in October in Vegas and I may raise me mainmast for thereabouts that thar weekend.

And yes . . . it also happens to be my birthday

I’m doing a very Virgo thing and taking a business management class called “Practical Creative Thinking”. One of the chapters has a section about the 11 most common fallacies in logic. I’ve known of theses fallacies before the class but it has been interesting to see that a number of those fallacies have been tossed about here . . . a lot. Just sayin.
