Ask not, receive not!

My car got hit by a distracted driver who ran a light! My red car's door was crushed. No personal injury damage to me fortunately. Car fixed by local shop after many days out of service.

My point is to alert others! In dealing with the adjuster I asked for three things that many do not know to ask for:

1. lost use worth $10 a day for my hassles.

2. I said I was shook up and could not work the rest of the day. Paid for five hours of my time.

3. Lost value for my car. They checked with two local dealers who claimed they would offer much less for my car and offered me a bundle!

So I was paid lots, I was not even going to ask!

The moral of the story: unless you ask you will not receive! Applies to many thngs in life. The bashful do not get ahead.

One night stands, what is the point?

I don't see the attraction in one night stands!

Sex like most activites takes practice to improve. Practice in your skills and practice knowing your partner to perfect pleasing him or her.

So one night stands are usually substandard sex. Why have substandard sex; the goal fab is sex!

Also opening night jitters to overcome! Performance anxiety is particularly unhelpful for men!

Occasionally beer goggles at closing time can lure one into making a mistake. A dreadful performance may cause you to decline to repeat the experience; generally if it was good the first time, it will be better the next!

Some are so embarassed about sex they want to flee afterwards. I accept my choices and do not feel guilty. So if I did you once, I will gladly do you again! Why not? It keeps on getting better.

Some of my favorite saying:

Life is uncertain, eat dessert first!

Better a live coward than a dead hero.

In the long run, we are all dead.

Cowards die a thousand deaths, heroes just one.

Too much of a good thing is wonderful!

Youth is such a wonderful thing it is a shame to waste it on .

Losing one parent can be forgiven as careless, but to lose two seems somewhat negligent!

chuptzpah is defined as killing both parents and then asking the court for mercy on the grounds you are an orphan!

Success has a thousand fathers, failure is an orphan.

don't look back the sob's might be gaining on you.

An orgasm a day keeps the doctor away.

Semantics and grammar

Semantics studies the meaning of language. Somehow this important area of human knowledge has beome a derogatory term: "You are just playing semantics" is a phrase often heard. Word meaning is important in laws and litigation over their meaning.

Because I love to read, was an English major in college and now a lawyer, thus a professional writer, the meaning of words has a more than incidental importance to me. I find many people adept at mangling the English language, using words improperly or saying things inadvertenly they do not mean.

Large words are often attractive land mines that blow up when accidentally mishandled. An example: The LA Times, no less, in describing a recent political inauguration described the setting as "grandiose", when the context showed the author meant "grand"! The meanings are very different. Grandiose is derogatory meaning showy and tawdry.

A bigger word may not be better. Don't be seduced by the American notion that larger is more desirable. Small but sensitive can be great!

Graduation day

Attended a middle school graduation yesterday for a niece. Some observations:

13 year olds are getting bigger! Some very tall , over six feet, including some girls! Some 13 year old girls are surprisingly developed and attractive. You can see why they got married at age 13 in Biblical times. I am not suggesting they are an age appropriate match for me! Chill.

Rudeness remains alive and well in many respects, from laughing at accents of speakers to ignoring rules and requests. For example people were asked not to cheer during the roll call for diplomas, which some ignored. The who received no noise or applause felt like loosers compared to the popular who got lots of noise! Sad.

Glad I do not have to go to school anymore and put up with cliques, popularity contests, hazing, poor teachers, homework, tests, having no money, job or a decent place to enjoy sex!

No I don't envy the young, they have not got it so good, except in having a healthy and energetic body. Oscar Wilde said youth is wasted on !

Meaningless sex?

I do not agree with the term "meaningless sex"!

People are very poor at doing anything without meaning. Take random numbers. Machines are great at spitting out random numbers. People are not. They tend to create patterns and vary far from random frequencies of digits.

Freud claimed everything was unconsciously motivated and overdetermined having many layers of meaning. Free association and dreams displayed these underlying meanings. Very creative theory even if somewhat fictional.

Back to sex, I think the term "recreational sex" better describes what I and many are seeking to enjoy. The meaning is two hot people (or more sometimes) are enjoying their bodies for fun. Like taking a car on a joy ride, rather than utilitarian trips to the office or home.

Recreation is a meaningful activity!

Married cheating with marrieds less sinful?

Is it better for a married guy to stick with neglected married women for recreatinal sex than to also date single women?

Seems less sinful to me, and easier as they understand the situation so much better. Less chance of heartbreak for the single? Less destablizing on the marriage?

Most single women do not want the being on the side status and the sneeking around (although breaking a taboo is hot for a while).

What is your take on the relative bad karma?

Would you suck a dick to fuck a wife?

As a straight guy who has never had a threesome, I am thinking about my sexual preferences.

I like to think I am a tri-sexual. If it is sexual, I would like to try it! I find women much more attractive than guys. There are exceptions of course! In their primes I could have gladly had sex with Cary Grant, Marlon Brando, Elvis, James Dean, and a few others. Not that they would have offered.

I was forced to consider this issue when contemplating a threesome. I think the MFM threesome makes more sense given women's known greater ability to handle lots of sex. Two guys pleasuring one female, taking turns at intercourse while she sucks, etc. seems very hot!

Now the interesting question, would I suck his dick or let him suck mine? I never have. At one level it seems no big deal. What difference does it make, a sex organ is a sex organ. Such incidental homosexuality will not turn me into a dedicated gay. My preferences are pretty well set. The fact that it is not my main goal does not make it horrible or some how illegal.

I guess it depends on whether the guy and I are friends. Giving pleasure is a nice thing to do for a friend, even if the person is not a female. Sex is still a nice thing to do!

Seems like a lot of bi girls have no problem with the FFM and having sex with both guy and girl. Why are guys so hung up in our society?

Why this married guy cheats

I got tremendous negative feedback from Senior Sizzle Bootcamp 101 when I stated my views. Many find infidelity unacceptable. I understand. I am not proud, just trying to be honest.

I do not claim to be a saint, nor do I seek to be. Just another human trying to enjoy life.

I don't feel particularly guilty about cheating.

I got married quite young at age 20. Meet my wife in college. Probably should have waited longer, but I loved her, liked her and we were very compatible. We still are decades later. She is a lovely woman, great mother, good cook, good and decent person. We have one grown who lives back East.

Sadly she is inhibited about sex and has a much lower sex drive than me. She refuses oral (giving or receiving), anal, more than three positions, etc. She does not like to kiss, have her breasts sucked, etc. So I reluctantly concluded I am not willing to stay in a sexual straight jacket because she is. Consuling and talk does not change a person's basic outlook. She likes sex once a week, and I like it twice a day. Because she is not hungry I have to starve?

The moral of the story is do not take your mate for granted, do not frustrate their desires, do not fail to give satisfaction, or someone else will eventually.

In more than two decades of marriage I have been faithful 95% of the time, so I figure I have earned some time off for good behavior!

Generally I do not date single people. I have seen only those married women equally neglected at home. So married ladies in need, lets rediscover the joy of sex!

Unsung heroes include lawyers, judges and beauracrats that make government and public services work. Imagine the public health debacle if the sewer system did not work, or trash collection or clean water. Also public servants who fix the roads, traffic signals, etc. We are all interdependent now.

Teachers, police, fire, paramedics, doctors and nurses, but also utilities like electricity, water, gas, cable TV and internet access!

Some more famous heroes of mine:

Presidents: Lincoln, Washington, FDR, Teddy Roosevelt, LBJ, Kennedy, Jefferson, Madison and Adams.

Military: Ser. York, Audie Murphy, Patton, Rommel, Red Baron, Omar Bradley, Eisenhower, Spartacus, Alexander the Great, Chuck Yaegar.

Industrialists: Ford, Huntington, Carnegie, Disney, Howard Hughes, Rothschilds, Dupont.

Judges: Earl Warren, Marshall, Learned Hand, Thurgood Marshall, Oliver W. Holmes, Jr., Douglas, Brennan, Mosk.

Athletes: Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, Magic Johnson, Mark Spitz, Mary Lou Retton, John McEnroe, Martina Navitilrola, Chris Everet, Ali, Rafer Johnson, Nadia Comaneci.

Coaches: Vince Lombardi, Phil Jackson, Popovich, Larry Brown, Jerry West, Casey Stengel.

Yes, I can be irritating!

I have always been good at irritating people. You might say it is my special gift.

How do I do it? Easy. I am arrogant, smart, self-possessed and think I am right, even when I am not. These traits tick off lots of people.

But my worst offenses are independent thinking and honesty. I will often simply state my opinion that some received wisdom is complete bunk. People don't like that, and they are not shy about letting me know their views.

That is fine. Another annoying habit I have is that I do not mind if you do not agree with me. In fact I would prefer if you do not. Why? It is more interesting that way. I debated in high school. If everyone sits around agreeing with each other we cannot have a good discussion.

Of course lots of people get upset if you disagree with them. They feel there basic right to live is being challenged. No, just an opinion. Unless there is money riding on your opinion, chill out dudette!

Not being afraid to advocate an unpopular opinion is a good quality for a lawyer to have, especially for a litigator like me.

So don't get annoyed that I am irritating and do not agree with everything you say. It is more fun that way.

Lawyer bashing is for bigots

I am a lawyer so I resent bigots who say unkind things about lawyers. Even though some nasty remarks may be based on a bad experience, many seem to be simply envy, cynical or just mindless repetition of some prattle heard somewhere.

Sweeping generalizations are always questionable. I have met many fine people who happened to be lawyers. And some despicable ones who were lawyers. Same is true in every profession.

Try replacing the slurs about lawyers with the words "Jews" or "Blacks" or "women" and the prejudice bigotry shines through.

Human stupidity is all too common but still not praiseworthy. Those who lack sense will criticize what they do not understand and seek to make cheap jokes without thinking how lawyers protect the cherished freedoms of our country and protect human rights elsewhere.
