    I just had lunch with my father yesterday. He's a WW2 veteran. A Vietnam war vet came up and thanked him for his service and we returned the sentiments. This isn't the first time it's happened. And I always have to stop and think about what sacrifice truly means. And still to this day, I can't.

Thank you for your kind words. These things happen without real thought, in the case (s) I mentioned, they were like my kids, subordinates, but because of the circumstances , it was the right thing to. People like your father are the heroes to us all, the magnitude of their sacrifices ,I can not imagine. There is a "brotherhood " that we share, no matter the generation. Cherish him even more than a "normal" Dad, he is a jewel to our country. Again, thank you for the kind words
