My Observations

I just got back from my walk- there's a subdivision across from my house that gives me a challenging walk with assorted hills. I made up my mind that this was the year I was going to take care of me! I'm eating healthy, walking regularly, have lost 14 pounds & gone down 2 pants sizes! The sky today is beautiful- the most incredible azure blue with cotton candy white clouds. As I walk, I like to observe people's flowers, how they keep up their yards- enjoy the smells of fresh cut grass. I also notice families working out in their yards together, the sound of laughter in a home as they gather together for a meal. I can smell a cook out, or the scent of dryersheets. Sometimes this makes me sad....like I'm missing out on so much in life. I've had major losses in my life- my Dad 7 years in December @ the age of 58- he was my best friend. My Grandmother passed this past April- she was my mother figure. My real Mom is alive, but we have a guarded relationship- done on my part- she likes to play games! My is 22- lives with his girlfriend close by. For the first time in a long time, I feel totally alone....& it scares the hell out of me! I have plenty of friends, but no one special someone to share my life. All I've ever wanted was to fall in love..raise our ...watch them raise theirs & grow old together..I've made some crappy choices where men are concerned- guess for all my walls, I still wear my heart on my sleeve. No to mention that wonderful thing that God gives us...free will! I'm a true beleiver in Karma- that what goes around, comes around & that everything happens for a reason. Did you ever wonder why it does?

"And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make"

Congrats on your success so far - keep it going - it adds a whole new dimension to how one thinks. That special person will probably arrive when you least expect.

Next best thing to perfect

I always wonder that. I figure that my time will come one day. I'm not going to rush it. Hopefully, I will realize it when it happens.

Sounds like it was a BEAUTIFUL walk that provoked a multitude of thought and feelings. Wishing I had been there - holding hands - watching the children play, sharing the day.

And - as the sunsets - we chase the moon - or is it howl at the moon

Wow! Seems like you have been living the counter point of my life. Like you I made some bad choices with love, all I ever wanted was to raise a family, both parents are gone for me and the kids are pretty much on their own as well. I understand perfectly well about the cut grass, and another thing that sends my senses reeling is a walk in the woods in the fall months.
Congrats on the new you! Thanks for stopping by my blog..take care.
