Pictures. Am I wrong???

Hello, I am curious to what others think about this.

I was chatting with someone on IM this morning and they had no pictures on their profile, which is fine with me when contacting others, however when they wanted to meet for a quickie,
I asked if they had a photo, Without saying yes or no, I was a pic.collector,
What a joke. I am very real.
So my question is. Do people really meet others without having seen a pic first?

 I don't think it's anything outrageous or unheard of to trade photos if things come to a point comfort-wise that you're planning to actually meet. But I understand that not everyone is at liberty to do so, depending on circumstances. Nevertheless, that's no reason where simple respect cannot be relayed back to you by simply saying something like "I respectfully don't hand out pics because of ( insert reason(s) ).

As for people meeting others without seeing pics first...well, I think "blind dates" have been around for ages...so yes, I do think that can and does sometimes occur.

 Sex is about physical attraction. A pic is not out of line. I find it rude to not send a recent picture. And it is a 2 way street. He has to be attracted to me as well.

 Thanks so much for the input. I have also agreed to just meet in a public setting without someone showing a pic and no shows. It happens.

 I'm the someone who made the comment about the pic collector..first sorry if I offended you ..just that it seems that people put too much faith in the whole pic thing ..why is it so hard to meet in person its not that hard to just say not interested..I know there are a lot of fakes on here.aka bots.ads what ever you want to call them.. I did explain that I don't know how to do the pic thing or have the capability..again chill out Merry Christmas to all

Thanks for adding to the post, Trust me, this post wasn't just about you.
It happens all the time and I am sure a lot of people on here would agree to that.
For the most part, when someone doesn't want to share a picture. It throws up a red flag for many. I myself just feel that a picture after some converastion shows some trust and also if one is not interested. It saves all from the awkward moment.

 I WOULD NEVER MEET ANYONE WITHOUT A PHOTO FIRST. IT'S IN YOUR BEST INTEREST NOT TO DO IT. TOO MANY STRANGE PEOPLE OUT THERE.
