why why why no EI

I find it TOTALLY CRAZY that everywhere in Alberta except for Edmonton gets an increase of EI.

That is the government telling us that Edmontonians are less stressed or less important. Because we are unemployed.

If EI is increased for everyone else then WHY not Edmontonians? The reason given is that the un-employment rate in Edmonton is less than the rest of Alberta.

Tell that to anyone not working. I call BULL SH!T on that.

What say others.

HOW COME

I recently read a news release that mentioned the some of the refugees that have been granted sanctuary in Canada have been given homes to live in. Don't get me wrong I believe we should help. However if I read the story correctly the home that was given is with a mortgage payment that was so low that anyone can pay it off within a short period of time.

My question is HOW COME? I was born in Canada, put on the uniform and was willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice. I can not get a mortgage. My rent payment is large enough to be a mortgage payment and yet I am disallowed. WHY???

A refugee that has ZERO money and NO visible means of employment is given one.

I have no doubt that in a few years the refugee will have more than one home and we will be paying rent to them.

I believe if a veteran can not get a mortgage then neither can a refugee.

Why does this happen so often

I have found over the years that people say they will meet up for drinks and what ever but then do not show up. I know it happens to the ladies WAY more often than to men but it does happen. What are we afraid of, rejection, no chemistry or not what is expected, who knows. I know this has happened to me and I am certain of my feelings. I have not done this to anyone that I am aware of without a VERY good reason. I have always made contact with the other person several times to stay in touch and found alternate ways to stay in contact other then here. My cel phone is the best way so that IF anything prohibits me from showing up I can tell the other person right away.
