There's an expression in the music industry: MOR or "Middle Of the Road." It refers to music that covers a broad range of tastes, never too far in any one direction. We like to think of ourselves as the MOR of adult sex sites.

My partner and I were talking recently about the kinds of people who get in touch with us. We are your average looking couple- neither Ken and Barbie, nor are we the trolls under the bridge. We're average height, average weight, average coloring.... gee are we beige? We have a wide variety of interests- both vanilla and not-so-vanilla. Our average-ness (is there even such a word?) extends to our sexuality. We enjoy many permutations of the sexual kind, but aren't into anything truly kinky. We find it interesting being here. We aren't really club goers, but we like watching people (and being watched). We enjoy chatting, but we're not really dirty chatters. We're NEVER going to participate in phone sex. We like to blog, but we're neither the bare-your-soul bloggers, nor the only-here-to-post-pics bloggers. We LOVE photography, but prefer more artistry and less blatant anatomy lessons. We want a type of friendship, but aren't looking to become poly nor completely NSA. While we don't want to swing every night, and twice on Saturdays, neither do we want to wait 2 yrs between encounters.

So... as you can see, we're kind of Middle Of the Road. But, are there no other couples like us out there? Surely there must be more of us on a site as vast as this one..... right??

You wouldn't think so, judging by the majority of people who DO contact us. While some certainly have attractive qualities, some of them are SO good looking.... some of them are so...... not good looking...... We just don't think that we're good matches, either from that physical point of view or in attitude towards what playtime constitutes. Amusingly, most of the people who contact us are also Golds, and as you may have presumed, we have a lengthy and detailed profile.... and therefore, they should be able to see that we're not their cup of tea. Meanwhile, those couples who might line up to a greater degree with us, never seem to put pen to paper (ok ok no one really puts pen to paper anymore anyway).... but you see our point. We'll probably never be a perfect match for young, urban, hipsters... nor aged, decrepit, nursing home residents. But surely, there must be more than a few suburban, family oriented, middle class, somewhat middle aged couples who enjoy an evening out and possible fun afterwards?

If you ARE... and you're reading this... and you're within about a days drive (or so).... we'd enjoy exploring lines of communication with you!

Even MOR couples won't always match up.... but the More friends you find, the better the chances of More fun...

Re-think That Comment?

First of all, this isn't a rant, but an observation... which some may find useful.

I like to cam. Sometimes I cam with my Significant Other, sometimes all by myself. I'm enough of an exhibitionist to enjoy it... and my guy likes to watch me, so...

And I enjoy most of the comments I receive while doing so. However! There ARE almost always a few that give me pause, some that downright make me upset. And some that border on criminal. Its rather a bummer to see those pop up. Bit of a buzz kill, you know.

I think perhaps a few of those people would get a somewhat better reaction from whomever they're speaking to, if they stopped a second and considered how their comment might be received. There's a huge difference between sexy talk and gross.

Different people find different things appealing. If a reaction is all a person is after, then fine. The reaction you'll generally get from me with rude comments, is banned. I can't hit that button fast enough, sometimes. Amusingly, everyone I have banned will never see this.

But for those of you still capable of reading this blog.... Perhaps something flirty to begin with, and then take the time to judge how your comment was received. Then perhaps try something a little more provocative, once again gauging the effect. Little steps will more likely get a response. You'll know if you're arousing or turning off the person you're attempting to communicate with.

We've been on cam often enough, and watched enough cams, to know that actual interactions are the most arousing part of camming. So why risk never getting THAT part of the experience by saying something not well thought out?

Probably preaching to the choir here.... lol... but I had to get that off my chest... the same chest that was on cam about an hour ago....

Penis Size- The Results are In...

The results of a recent meta-study of men's penis size have been released! Drum roll please......

Average size penis flaccid:
3.6 inches/9.16 cm long; 3.7 inches/9.31 cm in girth

Average size penis erect:
5.16 inches/13.12 cm long; 4.6 inches/11.66 cm in girth

According to this study of 15,000 men worldwide, this means that the vast majority of men on this site... are WAY above average! Who'da thunk it?

In all seriousness, I'm not surprised by the results. Almost every time I see a dude on cam, he's clearly average sized. And yet, if you were to believe the profiles, the guys who message me on IM, or the ones popping into the chat rooms to loudly proclaim "8+" on cam!!!" you'd think average is, well, in the minority.

Now, I got out my trusty measuring tape and looked at just what is considered average. Yup, that looked good to me. Then I checked out what 8" looks like (seems that is the common smallest size preference on the profiles I've seen). Have any of you looked at that?? That's practically the length of my foot!

Uh.... I have big feet?

So, what's so wrong with average? I have average boobs... people seem to like them, I like them on most days, Prime loves them. I should put in a disclaimer here. We've never measured Prime, and we don't intend to... however from this measuring tape in front of me, I can tell he is above average. Not monstrously so, but that is good- any larger and he'd hurt me!

We don't go around looking for specific penis size while we're perusing profiles but to be fair, no profile has ever listed the guy as anything less than average (I seriously doubt we'd consider that the breaking point however, as we tend to look at the overall person anyway). On a site like this, would anyone have the balls (har har) to list themselves as small? Would they have ANY chance if they did? According to the study, only 2.28% of men are small anyway, so you guys should feel good about that.

I did notice the study didn't find any noticeable size difference between races, though most surveyed were of European and Middle Eastern decent.

Another fun fact: Foot size doesn't determine penis length. At least now I can stop staring at men's shoes!!

NYE: I Resolve to NOT Make Resolutions

So, its tradition to start the new year off with resolutions- lose weight, get in shape, learn a language, be better organized, etc. I see them every year on fartbook, or that pinning place, or even here. And I think its rather pointless. Its not that I'm against resolutions, in principle. I'm all for them, actually. What I am against is the notion that one time a year, we decide we're going to make these big life changes, in order to be happier or more productive or to be better people. But you know what?

It doesn't work.

It doesn't take long before people give up. Then we hear whining about how hard it was, or they weren't ready, or whatever. I've seen it a bazillion times. My ex was always doing that. And always failing. As a runner in a northern climate, I use the gym when its yucky outside. Except for January. Because the gym is inundated with people who have made resolutions to get healthy/lose weight. It becomes a nightmare, even for people who aren't introverts like me. Inevitably, as February comes around, the gym starts emptying out...

Its sad really. Because my life is all about health/fitness, improvement in general. I would LOVE for every person to be healthier and happier, in whatever way that fits them. But for so many it just doesn't work out. There was a time when that person was me too. But eventually I figured it out.

Resolutions don't work when you make them once a year. You have to make the decision to change every day. Every. Dang. Day. And when you fail one day, you pick your ass up and start over the next day. It doesn't matter if its January 1st or June 12th or September 28th or whatever.

A plan is essential too. So many people say "I'm going to get healthy" but have no clue how to go about it or what healthy means for them. If you're obese, you can't expect to go out for a mile run on your first workout. Or to suddenly love eating healthy. What happens on those hectic days when everything seems to go wrong and you don't have the ingredients for a healthy meal? How are you going to handle the things that crop up in everyday life, that can threaten to derail your plans? This is where some time spent researching strategies will pay off dividends!

Its not easy, I won't lie. It takes commitment, and re-commitment. And faith that you can do it. It really helps if you have a cheering squad, but its not a necessity. You can be your own cheer squad. Make some 3 x 5 cards with encouraging quotes for those bad days. And know that you WILL have bad days. Its inevitable.

But, you CAN do it.

So this year, don't make a New Year's Resolution with me. Make a life resolution. I still have plenty of things I'm working on... for the long haul.

Happy New Year everyone!

I am not sure what is going on with the people of today... but what the bleepity-bleep is going on with pedestrians? Prime and I frequently go for walks. Long ones. All over the place. Lately, over the last year or so, we've noticed that oncoming fellow pedestrians are RUDE, sidewalk-hoggers! We've nearly been mowed down by pairs of women in strollers, couples, people on bikes, etc. coming towards us- often right next to extremely busy streets. We always move into single file, when we see someone oncoming. Isn't this fair? When did people stop teaching this? And too, move to your right already.... If we drive on the right, we walk on the right.

Sheesh... I feel like a crotchety old lady now. LOL

Ho Ho Ho.... Humbug

So I was listening to my normal radio station the other day, which happens to be Canadian. The morning show ended, with the broadcasters announcing that due to popular request..... Christmas songs are now commencing!

My heart sank.

Don't get me wrong. I am a Christmas person. Or, I used to be... Christmas was my absolute favorite holiday. But as the years have gone on, the commercialism has started to grate on me. Especially the way the season has gotten longer and longer. Granted, other factors have worked to humbuggify me... and while those factors have mostly resolved themselves (and some I just got used to), the disappointment with the season has remained.

It seems like the magic, the gentle spirit of Christmas, has gone the way of the dodo bird... only to be replaced with grabby people and shameful overspending for things most people don't even need or won't even care about. Then there's the over-decorating (we must Martha up our homes!!), the stress of paying for it all, the pressure to live up to expectations, the selfishness of shoppers. I hate going to the store for even simple things now. The crowds don't care, the cashiers are overworked... all to the tune of "Its Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas". Um, no its not!!

I dream of simpler times, I guess. In a lot of things. I'd like my family to spend one Christmas where we just handmade one present for each person. Where we reach out to those less fortunate, in a more meaningful way. Where we spent less time driving all over, and more time appreciating what we have together. I work hard to make the season special for my family, but it takes it out of me.

And its not even Thanksgiving.

I need refreshment of my old holiday zest, in a big way.

...ah... there's nothing quite like waking up beside your lover, sharing some coffee and cam time... feeling your oats a bit, and being a wee bit flirty.... then going to the restroom for water and seeing Mt. Vesuvius waving its "Look At Me!" sign from your nose. Yup, I've been taken down a notch LOL. Good thing he loves me for more than my skin Welcome to living in a non-retouched world...

I recently came across a status that ticked me off. The couple bemoaned this site over the belief that no one here is real and are only voyeurs (lol as if that is a bad thing!). The thing that irked me? My other half and I have had some contact with them: mutually exchanged flirts and hotlists... even sending them an email- to which they never replied. Hm, who's the voyeur NOW?

Which brings me to the complaint that no one here is real... Sure, plenty are fakers or liars, but there ARE real people here, looking for play partners. We have met people who can verify we exist, we are on cam plenty, and we occupy the local chat room on a regular basis. Granted, we don't make connections often, as our proclivities are a bit more exacting, but we take pains to be sure we can prove our veracity. And we interact with plenty of people who DO make connections.

Might I suggest that those who find themselves unhappy with their results, look within first before blaming the venue or fellow occupants of said venue... Perhaps there is something about your profile, pics or responses (or lack thereof) that leave something to be desired? Maybe a profile tweak is in order.. Or interaction of a different sort: meet & greets? Just a thought.

We are not everyone's cup of tea, and we know that... we are fairly content to wait for that which suits us best. But in the meantime, complaining does no one any good. It just makes one look desperate... and desperation breeds contempt. So unattractive.

Well, here I am... Isn't starting the hardest part of all this? I need a hook! By hook and crook... wait no, that's not right! I'm more moral than that old phrase. Though, morality IS in the eye of the beholder...

Well, I guess I'll start with the question seen here more than any other (and one I personally detest because it's so unoriginal): what are you looking for?

Single men- not you. Sorry.

Single women- most especially!

Couples- yes, if your woman is bi-curious, willing to reciprocate affections, and you both accept that my other half will not only be present but involved. When it comes to couples, we're a pair.

I'm interested in female friends with benefits! Who here isn't, right? But, I may be a bit different in that I'm truly desirous of friendship. That doesn't mean I want to move into your basement or become BFFs. I do however want to be able to enjoy your company beyond the scope of the bedroom. An intellectual connection is important to me. I'm a rather shy person, so group scenes are not my thing. You'll be hard pressed to entice me to a lifestyle club. Maybe after we got to know each other and the trust was there...

Ok, that's enough for now. I'm exhausted... time for bed. How lovely it would be to have my man and my GF to cuddle up against....
