In case you can not access my profile (because you are a standard member like me), here is a little about me:

Music Down Memory Lane

Today has been an interesting day...
I began rather early with going out to the woods and enjoying the serenity of nature. After coming back to my place I reentered reality (whatever that is) and tackled work stuff. Fortunately it was not all job-related and I was able to get a little reading in as well (a book on Medieval European history...yeah, I know, but I'm into knights).
And this evening has been a little melancholy. I have been thinking about the past...the good, the bad, and a lot in between. For some reason, when I do this, I start thinking about music of bygone days.
When I say bygone I am talking about my childhood, youth, and young adult years, which would mean the 70s and 80s. With my many moves over the years a lot of albums and 8-tracks have disappeared (do you still have your 8-tracks?) but I have a good substitute...YouTube!
Here is a list of some of my off the wall listening to this evening:

Today, as part of a getting to know you question [post 3362338] I was asked "What do you do to lift your spirits when you're feeling down?" I responded with "I go hiking, which in my area mainly means Clifton Gorge. I love it."
Hiking is my favorite sport/outdoor activity without question. Not only is it good for my physically, but it also helps to clear my mind of so many things that are weighing on me.
I am wondering what you all do to escape your concerns in life in order to rejuvenate? Do you go outdoors or does something else help to bring newness and freshness to your day? I am looking forward to hearing what works for you.

I'm not a drinker so the thought of green beers and what have you for St. Paddy's Day does not entice me (but it does make me the perfect designated driver). But a little "sassy Irish lassie" would make my evening without question

I am very much a leg man and especially legs surrounded by gossamer threads...stockings. While I enjoy all beautiful women a lady in stockings is the epitome of sexiness.
I love all sorts of colors...white, black, nude, red, you name it. And variety...gartered stockings, thigh highs, panty hose, body suits.

I have never tried a blog before but I thought that I would try something new. I am one that has always felt awkward in the dating scene and at 48 it seems more complicated than it did back in the 80's.
Since I am a standard member I can not comment on messages that I receive so I hope that you will feel comfortable commenting on my posts.
