Ahhh Valentine's Day.....

So today is the official day to show your love and appreciation to someone special, but shouldn't that be every day lol. So off the the store to flowers, try to find that perfect card (not an easy task as the card selection seems the get crappier each year) and/or chocolates.
some this just becomes a task (well I guess I have to do this) and others a thoughtful process trying their best to find that perfect bouquet or versed card. Regardless, you may just brighten the day someone which makes it worth while.
Has Valentine's Day become a task you or a thoughtful process?
Do you stick to the old stand of roses, chocolates or dinner or are you going a different route....and if so what?

Regardless of which holiday you celebrate I wish you a happy one as well as much peace, health and joy the New Year ahead.
Please be safe your travels and I hate have repeat what we all have heard many times....buckle up when driving and please do not drink and drive. As a former volunteer fireman I have had respond accidents and extricate people trapped cars, some severely injured others who would never return home their families.
Anyone hosting, please keep an eye on your guests and don't let a friend drive if they are impaired....I know, easier said than done with some people, but you might just save a life, theirs or someone else's .

For caring, compassion, giving, understanding.....remember, there are those are less fortunate or just need someone show them they care.
Many people have a tough time around the holidays for various reasons and sometime a smile or a simple hello can go a long way. If you know someone is struggling with depression please keep tabs on them, be available just listen if they want talk - sometimes having someone talk can make a world of difference. I have a friend having a rough spot right now - I check in with her via text or phone, try get her see all the little positives where I can and let ger know what she is worth .....I try make her laugh, talk about anything get her mind off her troubles, she knows some is in her corner.
I give the priviledged where I can through 6th he year, donate the local food bank, a few dollars in thd jar, donate yo various collection drive at work, donate yime help build houses for Habitat gor Humanity. Every little bit helps!

Halloween memories...

Had some great costume parties back in the day, much fun. Always marvelled at the creativity of some, how others embraced their characters and others just lost all inhibitions. There was always a lot of food, alcohol, music and dancing - no loss of limb or life thank god.
Never forget during clean up at one party walking outside and seeing my friend's girlfriend bent over by the dumpster with him doing her from behind....we of course cheered him on and afterwards amazed that she would partake in public sex, guess it was all the attention in her hot maid outfit that helped.
