A gob of heavy thick white cream on my face and dripping onto my robe....

Nope I didn't get lucky this morning.. I've just finished eating a cream filled donut. True it was a big, chocolate covered, cream filled Long John, and very phallic looking but lets get our minds out of the gutter for a moment.

I've yet to hop into the shower this morning, though I'm later in doing so than usual, I feel no need to rush today what so ever. I rush around too much as it is and with the day off for New Years today instead of tomorrow I figure fuck it? I've no where to be, and nada to do. Other than popping over to the shop to pick up a pack of smokes and a rope of pork sausage ( another very phallic looking food) for tomorrow along with a can of kraut. I'm good. ( you've got to have pork and Kraut for New Years, a German good luck thing passed down to me by my parents. ) I don't know if the good luck thing is true.. but why take chances right? Besides I like smelling the stuff cooking. Tossing both the sausage and the kraut into the crock pot on the low setting sometime around eleven thirty tonight the aroma will fill the house reminding me of New Years past. Like the time my parents let me have my first drink at one of their parties on New Years after I turned eighteen a couple of months before hand. The drink? A Sloe Gin Fizz...well it had more fizz in it than Sloe Gin... but I wasn't complaining at the time. The drink and my parents allowing me to have it during their party made me feel grown up, and accepted by them as an adult. Though when making one the next day as sort of an eye opener I got the Mom look from my mother.. that look said it all. That it was okay the night before on New Years Eve to have one...but the next day was a no-no. Oh well, maybe I wasn't as much of an adult in their eyes as I thought? But that was long ago... many New Years have passed since then. The wheel of time kept turning, people you knew and loved have moved on, or passed away. Making today a day of both happiness and sorrow more than any other day of the year as you look back.

I've lost a good friend and one time lover this past year, a couple of weeks ago in fact...taken too soon by the virus. I will miss her, and although when we parted as lovers we still remained friends. Her death was a shock and a first time thing for me, losing someone I was very close to. That's never happened to me before. I expect it will be happening more often now as I get older. I also look forward on New Years Eve as well, thankful for the new friends I've made over the past year or so. Fellow bloggers who read and often comment on my blog here on Senior Sizzle, men and women whom I've come to think of as good friends and would dearly love to meet in person someday soon. I think about my family and my grand minions, wondering with their New Year will be like and what future New years will hold in store for them after I shuffled off this mortal coil.

So on this new years eve I'd like to wish you all the best! Be happy and heathy and may the coming year treat you better than the last one!

Stay safe everyone!
