Happy Hump day! My eyes just don't seem to want to open up this morning for some reason?

I spent all day yesterday in one unit, well in it's kitchen to be exact. The tenant made a half hearted attempt to clean the place before moving out, but didn't do the job very well. Hence my spending so much time in the kitchen. Not that I wanted to be outside in the cold so it worked out really.

The boss was in a dither yesterday, looking for a tool or part in the shop for a job he need to do. Finding anything in the shop is like looking for a needle in a hay stack really. When the new guy was hired the boss had him clean the place, now things are harder to find. I think part of the problem is when someone takes a tool to use, or uses the last which a ma call it, they never tell any one we're out of that particular thing and to re order new or put the tool back in the same place they found it. Or worse yet they leave the tool in the unit they happen to be working in forgetting it. That's really no way to run a rail road. Don't even get me started on old parts and things brought back to the shop after someone has finished doing work someplace. Like look dude, the garbage Disposal you just removed is no good any more, you can't save it for parts.. why not just drop it in the dumpster instead of hauling it back to the shop and filling the trash cans in there. Cans that eventually get over filled with useless items that then have to be emptied themselves. It's a two birds with one stone sort of thing really.

Long ago growing up, I was taught to clean up after myself when finishing a work assignment by my Dad. Put your tools back where they belong so you have them so they are there and ready for you when you need them for next time. I spent twenty four hours once looking for a hammer I had used to build something that I didn't put back after I'd finished using it. Needless to say but Dad went to get the hammer and couldn't find it he was a bit more than miffed...hence my search, and my eventually having to buy a replacement hammer. The cost of a new hammer isn't that much, but to me having to scrape the monies together to buy one was no easy task.

Ah well live and learn I suppose? If the Boss found what he was looking for I don't know. As I said, I spent most of the day in the kitchen of that unit yesterday. But you can bet my supplies are in order and ready for use when I go back to finish off the job today.

I'm off to shower now...

Clean as you go, that's what my parents always said when I was a kid.

Happy Hump Day

I clean as I go in the kitchen. Put my tools up promptly after a project. I like to be able to find my tools easily. I started hiding stuff because Cowboy kept swiping my tools, LOL. Have a great day!
