Don't know when it happened? Maybe when I was out shoveling? Got home for lunch yesterday and tried unzipping the jacket and nope, wasn't happening. Stuck half way down. Of course tugging on it only compounded the problem. An eventually the little zippy part broke completely off. Well I guess it's time to buy a new winter jacket. I can still use this one till I get out to a store though. Along with the zipper closer it has snaps on the front as well. So the jacket will stay closed, though it won't keep me as warm as if the zipper still worked. The jacket isn't that old either. I bought it just at the beginning of last winter. I'd buy a new zipper and sew it in, but I'm not very good at sewing. Oh, I can make a simple base stich, but beyond that I'm worthless. Well I needed a new coat any who. Hopefully I can find something that fits, and keeps me warm, with all the snow piles out there it looks like Spring is a long way off.

Oh speaking of spring.. believe it or not while out shoveling during that eight hour marathon on Monday I saw not one but two robins. I looked up into a tree while stopping for a rest and the pair of them were chasing each other through the branches. Doing the mating ritual I assumed? Looking up at them I just shook my head and said out loud that you guys are way to early to be this far north. Though seeing them did lighten my heart, and gave me pause to think that warmer weather is on it's way. I'm thinking the recent storms down south along the coast where I assume they spend their winters drove them up here.

I have a feeling the boss will be off today. As I was finishing up phase two's stairwells yesterday after noon he stopped me and asking how it was going? "it's going" was my reply. ( He knows I hate sweeping salt out of the stairwells. ) Any who he went on to tell me what the plan was for me for work today...I had to remind him that I still needed to finish the stairwells and I'd be doing that this morning ( all cool he tells me ) but after that he wanted me to go into an eviction unit and get it ready for painting. Looks like yet another unit where someone couldn't pay their rent, got kicked out and left a mess of stuff behind. Fun job...well at least I'll be out of the cold and inside where it's warm. Yeah the stairwells aren't heated, and no AC in the summer months either. I've been freezing my butt off all week so the change of pace and being inside where it's warm will be a welcome relief. Even if it is in a dirty apartment filled with crap.

I'm out of my HBP medication, took the last pill this morning. Hopefully my daughter has her car dug out from the snow and will be able to run me over to the pharmacy tomorrow? The new script is ready and waiting for me there already. If she can't do it I guess I'll have to hoof it over to the store either that or try and catch a bus, though with the roads being what they are with the snow and all the busses have been running behind schedule and sometimes not at all. There is nothing worse than standing on the corner waiting for a bus that doesn't come.

Any who, time for my shower now....

Try Vaseline or WD 40 on the zipper, then try to get it too zip straight or correctly using pliers ! IF it works, then use a Large paperclip for a Pull !! Has worked for me on numerous occasions 😀 We did get our BIG Predicted S**W and received about one half inch 🤣🤠

Sage advice Cowboy. However the zipper pull came completely off when I tried to "adjust" it and get it to work after I got my jacket unzipped. Hey, if your looking for more snow to pad out what you got we have plenty to spare here.. though you'll have to pony up for the shipping. Have a good one!

Jacket zippers are such pains to replace. We had a local tailor replace one for about $30. It was less expensive than a new jacket. And we upgraded to a steel zipper.

Think I'd just go for the new jacket. As a thirty dollar tab would be more, or about what I paid for the jacket in the first place. Have a good one Pony!
