A lot of walking and getting things done, setting all my ducks in a row as it were. I love Christmas time, I think everyone does really. But it always wears me out getting ready for the day. Just when I get back from shopping or doing something I needed to do I remember something I'd forgotten. Like Santa I make a list, but sometimes things get left off that list as well. Must be the "old timers" setting I suppose?

I just have one more thing to do, pick up the chocolate covered strawberries for the daughters and her S.O.'s gift. A date night package if you will, the chocolates and some wine to drink, something they can enjoy after the minions have gone to bed.

I think I'll have an early dinner tonight, maybe a spiked eggnog or two and fall asleep I'm my recliner with the lights of my tree to cast away the shadows that have been plaguing the world these past two years. The virus, and the new ones coming down the pike, wars, and rumors of wars, the devastation from fires on the west coast, and tornados in the plain states. Some day's there seems to be no end in site. If I could have one wish this Christmas season would be that all were safe and secure, healthy and happy. But as we all know that's not likely to happen. Still, we can wish for it....can't we?
