Need a blog clue please

I can add blog posts, and they show up find under my profile, but they don't show up under Member Blogs (Community -> Blogs). I can scroll down the Recent Posts to the date and time of my blog post, but mine is just not there.

I found this on the help page, under Blog Advice.

Post your blog on public forums. The best way to reach a wider audience with your blog is by posting it on our numerous public discussion forums. Just pick which topics your post<b> touches </font></b>on, and whether it would be appealing to the members discussing that topic.

Is that what I'm not doing? But I see no way of doing that. When adding a post, there's no list of forums that pops up or anything.

It's probably something obvious, so please explain it like I'm four years old.
