Why does this happen?

I've had many notices that ppl have viewed my profile, but when I them they say they never viewed it. Why does this happen?

 Not sure, but I think that even if you hover over a profile, it says that you viewed it. I have looked at the list of profiles that i "supposedly" viewed an I never actually clicked on their profile, but on the main page, i have hovered over a profile or two and it registers as a "view". Hope that helps
