Yeah, ghosting sucks and is decidedly unclassy. Bummer you experienced it. Welcome to the blogs and good hunting.

I have not been ghosted.

I only get messages from fakes that all are magically 32 years old and have not
had anyone real actually contact me or show interest in knowing me.

Ugh this happens way too often on all the dating sites/apps. Sorry it happened to you and I hope it doesn't happen again!

Yeah, getting ghosted is pretty brutal. Just a simple no thanks, or I found someone else, goes a long way. Sorry you got hit with that.

You see light dappling on the water and forget the deep, cold dark beneath.

Did you talk (via voice) to confirm the date you were ghosted on?

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Many times. Part of the struggle but we seem to continue searching for any connection.

He is regular on here. Gives cams shows at least 4 or 5 times a week. So we chatted that way and yes we exchanged the face pics, the phone numbers and texted a bit. He is only an hour away. He is still on here giving his cam shows reg but I am blocked from his account.

Most of the complaints I see here about ghosting the "ghostee" did not talk (via voice) to confirm the date.

Wow! Sounds to me like you got nicked hard. And with THAT profile pic! ❗😊👍

I guess reality gripped his head and his balls and he got the chills.

I agree; what's the big deal with letting the other person know? It comes down to that guy being too embarrassed to admit to you that he's not the guy you thought he was. People are afraid of admitting who they are after they've already fooled you into believing they were someone else.

This whole planet has been built that way. ❗ ❗ 😎

Been here well over 6 years and ghosting unfortunately goes with the territory. Just wait...it gets better (worse?). Sometimes those ghosts will reappear later...like WAY later...like maybe a few months or a year or more. My husband and I just look at each other and say "People are weird!" We definitely have to develop a thick skin and try to remember that it is rarely about US and mostly about THEM. I suspect some do it because the fantasy becoming reality is just a bit too "much" for them. Some I suspect are cheating on spouses (nevermind they told you they were single) and while flirting online seemed harmless enough - something got too real or wifey found out. Or some I suspect just don't have the balls to meet in person. For us, I suspect some like "me" but aren't "up to the task" of playing in front of my husband. So whatever. It sucks. we deal with it and move on. And yeah, sometimes i talk to my therapist about it. LOL
