I've had that happen and yes it's annoying to say the least. On this site it's worse. Talk to someone and they stop in mid conversation until days later. If your going to end a conversation say good by or something.

Oh nothing more frustrating when waiting for any type of response. Too funny experiencing it right now as trying to do a get together for the Bride’s birthday. And was is really irritating is these are her friends.

Thank you for allowing me to shout out to the world. I feel a little better knowing I’m not the only one.

I have not had an off line conversation with anyone on this site in text or on any phone.

had a stalker once, chats and emails nice for a time, then said went overseas, got stuck with a large hotel bill, needed money, that was the end of it, just deleted her contact info and ignored chat requests, she did this to others too

Texting isn't proper communication and should not be a substitute to hearing someones voice. If you can text on the phone that much, dial the damn thing already

Otherwise, I'll not stop what I'm doing, break my concentration to respond to a text. Nor would I read one while driving.

Perhaps the lack of response provides an indication of his communicate skills more than anything else. In which case, the next decision is all yours too

All a matter of perspective . . .

You are correct, including mine. Its often left in the car (garage), in the kitchen or still in my pocket after taking my jeans off and laying on the bed while I'm in my office ( half naked - ya got to love working at home lol ). Its not an intention (conscious) but I am usually tied to my desktop where most daily communications are done via email. Not until one of them requires the phone do I figure out its not on my desk

Not everyone is a Slave to their phone!!! so if texting and they don't answer right back I am not offended ! everyone has a life and a text is just THAT a text ! why be upset over chit chat ? Just my 2 cents ! Have a great weekend !!

It would depend on the situation, of course. There are plenty of times when I am working and have to leave a conversation mid-text, and by the time I have the opportunity to talk, I may have forgotten all about the conversation. Life happens. That is not an excuse for all the assholes and users out there, of which there are plenty.
