Women get fakes, but of a different sort. Men are more likely to fall for the super hot girl promising sex in every form possible. Women will not fall for a guy promising sex, especially the ever present "I can go down on a woman all day" lines. Where as men are looking for sex, it isn't that women are not looking for sex, but we want our sex with a guy we like. With that said online women usually approached by the guy, most likely they are saying they are in the military, but not always. The man that is a fake is going to claim he is a soldier over seas and he can't get home and needs help to get home OR they will be men that engage us in talking and they claim to be a business man. The most common lines are they are widowed and have children, but not always, and they are businessmen and wow... suddenly they don't have money to get their business job finished or get their equipment or materials there. They got pick pocketed or lost their cards and can't get into their accounts. They amazingly have no one else that can help them. By this time they have talked to the woman for some time and have gotten her engaged in chatting and a sort of bonding as they give attention to the woman. That is the catch for the women where sex is for the men. Someone is talking to them and cares about their thoughts and feelings and now that someone needs help. The woman, they are hoping, now trusts them and sends bucks. As for anyone, male or female, one should NEVER engage in anyone asking for bucks!!! If they can't wait to get off site and talk and get your location or numbers RUN!!! There is also the guys that run the 'fake dick' photo scam. I can't tell you how many profiles on here that have fake dick pics usually taken from a gay porn site. I have seen one dick photo on at least 25 profiles over time.

Like BL said this is the inter/web/nets here and all over it. But lots of guys who cry fake are very often just being juvenile because the person they made a pass at said no. When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

Women fake sexual availability in order to get into your wallet. Men fake interest in a relationship to get into our pants. By that metric, there are probably more "fake" men here than fake women.

Not wanting to meet YOU does not mean the person is a fake. Some men think that. They wrongly believe that just because a woman is at this site they are supposed to get with any man interested in her. Some think no picture means fake. Humans are the most dangerous animals on earth. If only animals had the ability to know when to keep away from us humans they would be better off.

Some men will use a fake female profile to try and befriend you and then tell you about their amazing friend who would be perfect for you and they can set up a meet. I've had that tried on me a few times.
