A small revelation

Yesterday I went a memorial/party for one of my cousins that passed away in March. I saw an uncle that I can't stand the sight of. He's called me not a success, and belittled my sister the point of crying, and harmed another cousin. As I was sitting at a picnic table I realized that I have been successful in spite of him. I have carved out a life full of love, fun and accomplishments. It has been said that the best revenge is living well, and I am having great revenge. I also realized that I don't need his approval.
