Check out Sweden. Social distancing in place but with some common sense and allowing for people make rational choices. Kudos a Government that respects it's citizens.
Death rate less than most other European countries yet some degree of normality preserved.
UK this week, the 'emergency hospital' in London for 300 people sitting more or less empty and having turn away overflow due absence of staff care for them. DUH!
Meanwhile a consortium of engineering businesses is churning out ventilators at 250 a week that will simply lie and gather dust somewhere.
What genius or committee of geniuses did not realise that caring for ventilated patients requires concentrated numbers of highly skilled nurses, docs, technicians, therapists who are already in short supply!!! As a retired ICU nurse I can promise you that you do not produce these people out of a hat in a few weeks. The skills involved take literally years to attain.
However, I am suspicious that said consortium are going to want to be paid handsomely for their worthless output. Nice scam!
About as much use as sending snow to Eskimos.
