MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY, there are two MAJOR things he DIDNT do - 1) HE DIDNT declare the emergency in january, when the intelligence department was already warning him of a potential disaster (remember, he had fired the entire white house pandemic response team in 2018 WITHOUT PUTTING A NEW TEAM IN PLACE). obviously, he and intelligence in the same conversation makes an oxy-moron. how many lives could have been saved with a timely response rather than waiting until it was a political re-election one? 2) until he finally saw the stock market start plummeting (his major re-election touchstone - having taking credit for it rising since 2008, when he wasnt inaugurated until 2017), HE DIDNT stop downplaying the seriousness of the issue, which we tragically see now, DIDNT stop insulting and attempting to discredit anyone raising concerns, DIDNT stop blaming democrats for him not having a team in place (see above), DIDNT stop blaming media for being "biased" for pointing out his errors. omissions and inconsistencies (lies) in delaying so long, and DIDNT stop making this his 2020 campaign with incessant self-back-patting, misinformation (lies) and thinking that throwing a check at unemployed and/or sick and dying people will solve their problems when its just a re-election ploy. other than that, after "closing the gate" TWO MONTHS AFTER the "horses got away" is supposed to be a "perfect" response? and while the CDC are the ones making all the progress, all hes done is spend OUR money to help agencies help us, AND continue to use this tragedy (partially of his making) as a campaign issue. oh, and thanx to his PURPOSELY re-naming and promoting this as the "CHINESE" virus rather than "covid-19" as the GOVERNMENTS CDC has designated it, asian-americans now fear for their safety from white-supremacists, and not even just those who have chinese ancestry. for perspective, its been documented that typhoid originated in nyork city, but it was never called "nyork disease", and "spanish flu" was documented as having started in kansas, but it was never known as "kansas flu". but then again, trump wasnt president then, so who knows . . . ? so the chinese eat bats and pangolin? here in the us, we eat nutria, squirrels, possums, rattlesnakes, turtles, cow testicles, pig intestines, etc. nothing ID ever eat. so whos to say an american didnt take something viral in his guts TO china? but back to asian-americans feeling threatened by racism over the virus and viral posts, including those by the "leader of the free world" - hell, theyre "only" 5% of the population, so if "only" 10% of 62% white americans, which includes however many who are white supremacists, who "coincidentally" tend to favor trump buy into his racism, it could overwhelm and erase the asian vote. and isnt erasing a "certain group" of people what hitler did?] "well only get through this if we work together. if we dont, none of us will"

The quality of trolling around here has gotten so poor. i remember the good old days when a troll would actually get quite a thread going.. but now you have this kind of lame thirst-trap trolling stuff.

+RESTRICTING TRAVEL FROM IMPACTED AREAS: President Donald J. Trump is taking further action to curb the spread of the coronavirus to the United States from other countries. +LOOKING OUT FOR AMERICAN BUSINESSES AND WORKERS: President Donald J. Trump is committed to protecting American businesses and workers from the impacts of coronavirus. +LEADING AN AGGRESSIVE, WHOLE-OF-GOVERNMENT APPROACH: President Trump has taken unprecedented steps to protect the health of Americans in response to the coronavirus. The President is leveraging all of our resources to respond to the coronavirus, bringing together government and private industry in a collaborative response. The Trump Administration declared a public health emergency in January to bolster response efforts. President Trump took early action to help curb the spread of the virus from other countries to the United States, providing important time for response and preparations. In January, President Trump acted quickly to restrict travel from foreign nationals traveling from China. In February, the President restricted travel for individuals recently traveling from Iran. The Administration put into place mandatory screening for all travelers coming into the country from Italy and South Korea. Travel advisories for severely impacted areas like Italy and South Korea have been raised to their highest level. Today, the President directed his Administration to make general-use face masks available to our healthcare workers. The Administration’s actions will help make millions of general-use respirators available to keep healthcare workers safe and mitigate transmission of the virus. President Trump signed into law more than $8 billion to fund response efforts. The Administration has taken bold steps to incentivize the development of therapeutics and vaccines to treat and prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Working across the public and private sectors, the Trump Administration continues to drastically expand testing capacity. More than 1 million tests have been distributed nationwide, with another 4 million tests being shipped out by the end of the week. Testing is now available in every State lab in the country and commercial labs are now deploying tests, which will help generate a dramatic increase in availability. The Trump Administration has released guidance on how to keep businesses, schools, community gathering places, and families safe. From the start, President Trump has made keeping the public informed a top priority. The Administration has announced that health plans with health savings accounts will be able to cover coronavirus testing and treatment without co-payments.

Well-played, comrade! I'm curious- are they practicing *social distancing* in your Moscow boiler-room?

It is blank. As expected. There was no need to take any steps as everything was under control. Bits from TheGuardian “We have it totally under control,” Donald Trump said. It was 22 January, and he was asked in public for the first time about his worries about the coronavirus. “It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control,” he said. “It’s going to be just fine.” Jan 30 Tweet: Working closely with China and others on Coronavirus outbreak. Only 5 people in U.S., all in good recovery.

"perfect response"? in a pigs eye. and yet his minions eat it up. and now give them a check and theyd strangle baby ducks for their glorious exhaulted chancellor. facts means nothing to them, only insults and threats, or at least until (god forbid) someone THEY know dies. i will say most politicians are slow thinkers. This virus started last year common sense would tell me look further and see how it is spreading to stop it from coming to here. Like i say common sense is not common anymore.

"As the Trump administration works to contain the spread of the virus, its immigration policies may exacerbate the crisis. The "public charge" rule could discourage immigrants from accessing health care, and the "Remain in Mexico" policy has created conditions ripe for a viral outbreak along the border." – The Hill of course, to the minions, its just more "fake news". if theyre IN your community, theyre PART of your community and what hurts them hurts ALL of us. "well only get through this if we work together. if we dont, none of us will"

i will say most politicians are slow thinkers. This virus started last year common sense would tell me look further and see how it is spreading to stop it from coming to here. Like i say common sense is not common anymore. it was the one whos illegally in charge now, who led the non-response for two months with denial, lies, blame and insults. he may be good at dividing people, as long as he can be on the bigger and angrier side, but "common sense"? he cant even spell, and cant pronounce words bigger than four letters. unfortunately, his most fervent minions are all about four-letter words, too. thats no way to run a country, nor to raise your kids. sad that anyone even thinks it is. thanx for your true and insightful post im proud to respond to "well only get through this if we work together. if we dont, none of us will"

RE: IGNORANCE: You're such a bonehead....... what a clever response! how long did it take you to come up with it? anyone work with you on it? you obviously couldnt refute any of the points presented. facts are facts, period, like it or not. your response just proves what i and many others say about brain-washed lie-believing single-minded hate-filled trump minions like you. thanx for proving our point about you and your ilk and how dangerous your talking head is. have a nice day. maybe youll find a nice book to burn. "well only get through this if we work together. if we dont, none of us will"

whats your answer to the first half - how legal immigrants here already are afraid to seek treatments because of people like you, and yet theyre a part of our communities. "well only get through this if we work together. if we dont, none of us will"
| ||

make no mistake, some will get in. its not like cancelling flights from europe or asia. and if we let their side become a breeding ground, when they get in they will bring it. its in our best interest to help our neighbors, as they go, so will we. putin acted right away and now they have resources to be able to help ittly. trump fucked around for two months before doing anything and now we cant even help ourselves. and whats your answer to the first half? - how legal immigrants here already are afraid to seek treatments because of people like you, and yet theyre a part of our communities? just like you to nit-pick one point and avoid the whole issue at large. "well only get through this if we work together. if we dont, none of us will"
