Okay, after visiting the funeral Home yesterday and saying good bye to J.B., my daughter finally took me shopping. ( she had forgotten about taking me Friday night like she said she would ) Since we were already on the East side of town and to save time she suggested we shop at the store over there. (same named store I usually shop at but different location ) Now when I lived in the area I went to that store all the time, but after fifteen years of being away they had moved the store from it's former location and had taken over the building where the old K-Mart was located. Bigger store and easier to get in and out of the place it being in a larger plaza.

Now it usually takes me a half an hour or so to do my food shopping... At that store it took me a half an hour just to find the shelves where they had the crackers. Finding anything on my list in that store took more time than needed. I mean it was a big place, sure. But it was laid out really weird. Sections cut up and in odd places. I'm sure if I spent some time at the place and shopped there more often I could figure out their system of product placement, but for the guy just in off the street it was a nightmare. I'll stick with my own grocery store from now on thank you.

I had a lot of views on yesterdays blog. Though not a lot of comments. Still none of them were negative, so I suppose that's something right? It should take me a couple more blogs to finish telling the tale, figure New Years weekend will bring it to it's conclusion. Speaking of New Years, I have no plans as usual. I had planned to stop at the State Store while I was out shopping yesterday and pick myself up a bottle of Bacardi for the holidays, but the daughter for some odd reason balked about taking me over there, even though it was in the same plaza as the grocery store. When I pointed that out and how easy it would be to just pop in and out of the place, she asked if it could wait.. Did I need the bottle last night? Well, no I told her. Explaining that I just wanted to get one as I said for the holidays is all. But why make two trips as the place was just across the way and easy enough to get one now. Thurns out the reason she balked at stopping was the fact that she had planned on buying me a bottle for part of my Christmas present. Oh...okay. Sorry to ruin the surprise I told her, but how was I to know? I guess she won't have to wrap it now.

Any who, time for me to hop into my shower.

Your post reminds me of the time I was rushing around like an idiot, short on time I ran into a grocery store with the same name too like you but different location. I got so lost in the store it took me twice as long to get my things. I learned my lesson, lol. I wonder if it's an age thing??? Just saying, lol

No, I doubt it was an age thing. My daughter who was with me had the same issue finding things, and she in her thirties. I think the lay out was just poorly executed is all. Have a good one Queen.

I hate being 'lost' in stores. Every wally world around here is slightly different. Takes me longer to navigate them. Of course I've used grocery pick up so much the past 2 years of Covid I might get lost at the local store, LOL.

I don't shop much at Wally World anymore...But you are right, most of them here are laid out just a bit different at each store. I assume they do that to keep you in the store longer looking for stuff and that you'll buy other things trying to find the stuff you came for. Have a good one Pony!
