She's not much of a talker, yet. But we still had a nice visit. Sleeping most of the time as I was holding her, only getting up set a couple of times when papa had to mover her about when his hands started going numb. Letting me know with her small coos that "hey Papa I'm trying to sleep here" Opening her eyes just a bit to show her discomfort at being awoken.

We ( the daughter and I along with her two year old and my Grand son) did some shopping before we went over for Papa's visit. A new outfit for the little one, a Big Beach ball for the two year old and a Hot Wheels car for the Grand son ( yeah Papa spoils the Grands, don't tell anyone. ) She saw a point of display of the balls in the store as we were waiting for Mom to pick up some cat food. Pointed and smiled at the one she wanted. Yeah I pulled it from the stand and put it into the cart. I figured with her new sister coming home and moving her out of her position as "baby" of the family she could use a bit of extra attention from Papa. She's my happy grand...never seen the like with my own or the older two grands. The girl is always smiling and happy.

Any who..I spent most of the afternoon with the new little one and the family ( that includes the ex wife ) and had a good time. I even managed to pull the oldest Grand daughters attention away from her I-pad for a bit to say hello and get her to smile....A good day all around...

That's great, glad you had a good visit. Yes us grandparents spoil the babies. I do the same with the great-granddaughter

It's the right and privilege of grandparents to spoil their grandchildren. If they get too much, you just them back to trhe parents!

I'm so happy you got to spend the day with family. And the new baby! Babies are the best!
