Day? Why it's Christmas day sir... A line from the Scrooge story.

Of all the days that pass us on the calendar Christmas Day has to be the one day of the year that's is looked for with the most anticipation. This year more than ever I think. Not so much this year because of all the trappings and gifts and what not.

But because as humans we know the year is coming to an end. A year that many of us would love to forget. But I'd like to take a moment to remind you all that we need to remember those who were lost this year. Many of whom were taken long before their time because of the virus.

There us another line from the Scrooge story that always hit home with me. It's when Scrooge is speaking to the spirit of Christmas present...Scrooge asks the Spirit..." What of Tiny Tim, what will become of him? And for the first time in his hour with the good humored Spirit, the Spirit stops smiling, and gets serious and says.. 'I see a shadow of a crutch, and a small chair sitting beside the hearth, preserved for all time... If these shadows do not change..."

In many homes in our nation, and the world this Christmas there will be vacant chairs. Chairs of friends and loved ones who are no longer with us.

Like Scrooge and his ghostly visitor's we still have time..it is within all of us to change the shadows of the future. Simply by washing our hands, social distancing, and wearing a mask. Get the shot when it's available to you. It's easy enough to do. Together we can beat this thing. Happy Christmas to you all!

Off to shower now...the snow isn't going to shovel itself just because it's Christmas.

Have you researched the vaccine? Are you definitely going to get it? Does it matter which one to you? I'm still unsure.

Elevate me...

Only as far as what information has been given via the media. I will follow my Doctor's advise as to which vaccine I'll get when I get it. Though I don't think that we will get much of a choice on which one we'll be able to get when it comes down to it. A matter of supply and demand on which really. Now with a third vaccine coming out sometime in February, Which one I receive really doesn't matter to me as their are pretty much the same all around the only difference being the first one out needs to be kept at colder temps. to remain effective. Like the say with all medications...follow your Doctor's advise.
