Finally. It took me three hours to do. That works out to about an hour for each grand kid. No, the gifts don't look like they were done professionally by a group of Santa's elves either. More like a kid who's found the hair clippers and has given themselves a hair cut. No matter I doubt they'll even look at the wrapping paper, even though I chose a special one for each of them. I did that for one reason really, so I could tell what gift went to what grand. It seems I didn't have any gift tags in my supply of wrapping stuff.

Long about the middle of the first hour, my phone rings. It's the daughter...She's out shopping with her girlfriend Jo-Jo, and has a question for me. Wanted to know who my favorite Author was? I had to stifle a laugh. Once I got it under control I told her the name of the guy I used to read a lot of. Then went on to say that I have most of his works any-who, so not to trouble with trying to find a book of his I didn't already have, or haven't already read. That I really didn't have much time to sit down and read a book any more with my work schedule the way it is, that I still haven't finished reading the two books my oldest son got for me as presents, one two years ago and the other last Christmas. She seemed kind of bummed at my answer, I guess the store she was shopping at had a sale going on of books? Dashing her hopes of finding a gift for me I almost told her she could just put a bow and ribbon on Jo-Jo and stick her under the tree for me, but thought better of it and kept my mouth shut. Knowing what her reaction to something like that..it being. Ewwww Dad. Any who, they didn't have any of my favorite author's books in the sale any way it seems just a lot of things by James Patterson. She rang off, and I didn't think any more about it.... till a couple of hours later. The phone rings again and it the second son calling from Montana, I figure it's about the car and he's finally gotten the title to it and he was calling to tell me he'd be sending it along so we could get the transfer done. Nope, wanted to know If I heard from his sister lately? Told him about the call she had just given me, and that I seen her the night before when she took me to the pharmacy to pick up my medications. It turns out that she called him, I assume to get his take on what to get me for a gift? Or, to go in with her on something else she came across? Any who, he didn't answer her call when she rang, busy at work he couldn't. When he tried to phone her back, got sent straight to voice mail. Which was full of course. My daughter never cleans out her voice mailbox. I told him she was out shopping and I assumed she didn't hear her phone or couldn't answer his call and the best way to get a hold of her was to text ,or via the face place. Any who, the son was worried when she called, thought something bad might be up? When he couldn't get through to her when he called back got even more worried. I told him that nothing was wrong here as best as I knew and to put his mind at ease. Going on to tell him that which I just told you all about her wanting to know about what to get me for Christmas.

Kids...

Any who, The gifts are wrapped. Aside from another attempt at making cookies today I'm pretty much set here now for Christmas.

Off to shower now....

I'm glad your son gets concerned about his sisters welfare. You raised him right. Too many people don't care for anyone other than the one staring at them from the mirror. Great job Dad!!
