Mom was cleaning house, getting rid of some things and passing them along to us, old furniture, sheets, towels and the like because like most newlyweds we didn't have much. Along with the normal stuff she also gave my ex, what I can only describe as a shit load of porn magazines. Saying to my ex, when she gave them to her that she wasn't sure if we wanted them ? When I got home from work and as she was showing me what she gotten from Mom she saved the magazines for last. My ex, a virgin when we started dating, was like a wide eyed doe as we went through the magazines. There was the usual popular ones, like Playboy and Playgirl, the latter opening my eyes wide as I never could have dreamed my Mom was...a sexual being. Let alone one who enjoyed looking at Playgirl magazines. Along with the more popular ones were the others, ones that just didn't depict nudes but showed couples together "Getting it on", as we used to say back in the eighties.  Hell I didn't even know you could get those types of magazines in my town. I guess I was a bit of a wide eyed doe , or buck as it were myself back then? Needless to say but the two of us going through that stack of porn put us both in a rather randy mood. The magazines were quickly put aside as we headed to the bedroom pulling the clothes off each other along the way.  You know I never thanked my Mom for giving us those magazines.. quite frankly I never really knew how to broach the subject with her. Though I always suspected she knew we enjoyed getting them, and for the first time in my life knew she though of me and the ex. as an adults. A man and woman with needs and desires. Getting back to that dream..... Yeah like all good dreams, you hate to wake up. My brain telling me your missing something in your life Tim, That connection with another.. that touch...the feeling of closeness that only comes from being with someone. It's been too long now...she's out there still. At least I hope she is. Looking for that closeness as well? Maybe she doesn't have red hair, and perhaps I'm not her dream guy either? But together, we won't need our dream lovers anymore. Off to shower now.....
