Yesterday. New guide lines issued by the state have these places closed till after the New Year. Among the closings, dining inside, out side dining is still okay..but hey it's Pa. and no one wants to eat outside in the middle of December. All school sports have been put on hold as well, professional sports can be played, but must follow strict rules. Gatherings, outside are not to exceed fifty people, inside ten.

This is all to flatten the curve. Record cases have been recorded every day since Thanksgiving with those tested positive for the virus. Deaths are also on the rise because of it once again. Our local hospitals are doing okay, least I haven heard where they have been over run yet. Though stories have been bantered about on Social Media that some hospitals in other cities have been moving patients here because of their overflowing Er's and ICU's. I take those stories with a grain of salt, as none of them have been proven.

When I shut the Gym down yesterday, I got smart. The last time we did so people still used the machines in there. Going so far as to remove the caution tape to do their work outs. So, this time I removed the electrical supply cords for the tread mills, stair steppers, and took all the various attachment parts off of the universal weight station, along with the pins that hold the amount of weight you'd like to use, so they couldn't be used even if they tried. Then I taped everything up with caution tape and took down the signs saying the Gym was open that were put up when we opened it after the last order to close them was lifted. It seems like I'm going overboard, but hey, the morons around her just don't give two shits, don't clean the machines like the are supposed too after they work out, and think the rules don't apply to "them". Their attitude towards it ( precautions ) gives a whole new meaning to Dumb Jock.

On the lighter side of things...I see the S.C.O.T.U.S has refused to even hear the case the Att. General of Texas filed to nullify the results of the election in the swing states..Pa. Being one of those states. Maybe now the current resident of the White House will finally get it through his thick skull that... yes, he lost and it's time to give it a rest. Filing motions for recounts and filing law suites when the race is close is one thing. But he lost by a large margin. Get over it, as he's got a little more than a month to pack up his stuff and move out.

After work today, I'll be wrapping the grands Christmas gifts, and attempting to make some cookies. Later tonight the daughter will be dropping by to cut my hair, yeah..it's getting a bit Shaggy..Rut-Oh..Tee he he. Sorry, I couldn't resist that nod to Scooby and the Gang.

Time for me to hit the shower and go to work. I still have to clean the Gym even if it isn't being used....

I go to Planet Fitness, which opened up a few months ago, but I'm still not comfortable going there yet. I'm thinking they are going to shut it again soon anyway.

Elevate me...

We have several Gym's within walking distance to where I live. Planet Fitness being one of them. Two others, Red R Fitness set up around boxing, and a small local place that grew too big, and bought out a larger place that went under, as well as our own in house fitness center. Me I don't need a gym to work out. Just doing my job seven days a week is enough. Stair stepper...nope don't need it. With twenty seven three story buildings and no elevators I climb steps often. Treadmill? Yeah no...the complex is composed of four city blocks, and I'm always running back and forth between them. Weight machines? Nope...moving left behind furniture, trash bags full of useless crap left behind when people move out is doing the job nicely for me on that front as well.

Yeah the gyms are closed...but if you really stop to think about it we don't need them. Unless your just going to one to use it as a pick up spot for meeting men/ women. Need to get your steps in, take a walk about town, want to lift weights? Rearrange the furniture in your house. Why spend the monies to a Gym? Have a good one Chick!
