Well, not really. Still even though I don't get weekends anymore I still tend to get hyped that it's Friday. That is to say, the weekend happens, but I'm always working. I started one of the two units that were locked out ( evicted ) yesterday. After six contractor bags of trash taken to the dumpsters, there are many more to go. Most of that trash came from the kitchen, food etc. left behind. Most of in still in the fridge starting to turn. Fish, and or sea food. Ugh! After five and a half hours of cleaning in there I barely put a dent into the place. The tub and bathroom looks like a science experiment gone wrong, before I left for the day I sprayed down the entire thing with mold remover. I'll respray it again when I go in today to clean. Let the chemicals sit and do their work to make the job easier when I do get around to getting in there. I'm going to have to take some more bags up there when i go in today as well. Most of the stuff I pulled from the bedrooms and closets in them will have to be bagged up. Eventually I'm sure to be taken to the dumpster as well. Social distancing ...yeah seems to be a big joke with some of the folks who use the gym here. With county health rules in place about using such facilities, two of our machines in the gym have been taped off with caution tape, not to be used at all. The one a tread mill was even un plugged so it couldn't be used. Needless to say but I've come in some mornings and found the machine plugged back in as if someone had used it. Yesterday, I found the machine plugged back in and left on to boot. Dried sweat droplets covering the read out screen proving that like a two dollar whore it had been ridden hard and put away wet. ( yeah people using the machines are to sanitize the machines before and after they use them as per the new rules in the gym. We leave spray bottles of sanitizer in there for them to do just that along with paper towels ) So, this time instead of just un plugging it again like I've done countless times in the past few months, I took the power cord off completely, and wrapped more caution tape around it. Lets see the ignorant asses try and use the thing now. On a lighter note, I got the okay for my P.T.O. day. I'm taking the Friday off before my birthday. Doing nothing constructive on that day at all. maybe going out and buy myself a bottle of my favorite liquor and staying snockered all day long. Who knows? Time to take a shower now...

I do not understand people. They should respect the rules. Hon, I admire your diligence cleaning and rehabbing the units. I couldn't do it. I clean gross stuff but it was familys gross stuff. Not strangers. You are a good man.

happy bday! hope you have a fantastic PTO. i know from you blog that you work really hard! i have PTO the day before and day after Thanksgiving as I was planning to need to drive from the city to the coast. but i'm here on the coast doing my work remote. and moving back. i told one of my good friends in my dept i might give up this PTO if she would like to take it. i'll keep myself on the schedule until she decides if she wants it...
