 Hoping everything works out. I would suggest that you take control back and you might feel better about things. Dust off your resume and send it to those places. Who knows how long you would be suck on those other shifts etc. If you get a job offer then go to the new employers and tell them you have options.

 The waiting is truly the pits. When this happened to me I decided maybe the new folks were not going to be too good to work for since they were making current employees wait before hey could get on with their lives. Look hard and make the best decision you can for your mental health and financial well-being
