lol minus 8 ? so is that cold for that area? we have had lots of double digits for a bit and that's not unusual for January ..lots of people sick because the changes in temps from day to day people cannot adjust to that ..-14 on some nights to + 9 and + 10 the next day..its outrageous...we are really experiencing climate change faster than expected....its -3 now at 9 am and this afternoon will be +3..crazy

Yep, it's is cold for the area, but it has gotten down lower than that. Funny thing on Wednesday we were in the high forties, melted most of the heavy snow we got Last Sunday and Monday. Next day lake affect storms and down to -2. As the saying goes around here if you don't like the weather..wait it'll change.

I can remember shopping in KMart with my mom...we bought hamsters there. It was the place to shop for household goods.

I don't think there are any here in Tallahassee.

Now, I shop at Target most of the time...once in awhile at WalMart.

I've never shopped at Target, though there has been one in the area for ten years or so. I only hit the Walmart when I couldn't find what I wanted at the Big K. Then again I don't care for shopping much.

Yep, they have been slowly closing all the stores since the merger with Sears. Everyone thought that they would keep at least one store open in the area. But after a slow sales season during Christmas they announced they be shutting the last one down. The only Sears store we had in town, at the Mall was the first to go after they merged. Someone opened a Sears Catalog place, where you can shop on line and get the stuff delivered to that place, but I doubt it will last. I mean why go out to a store to pick up something you ordered on line when you could just have them ship it to your home or office?
