 Birthdays can do that to us. She sounds like the puppy & the bone story
I'm in favor of a birthday plan & making it happen! Something fun to look forward to is always exciting.

 the puppy & the bone, the puppy was crossing a bridge & looked over into the water & saw another dog with a big bone, so it barked at it. The bone fell in the water & the puppy had nothing. ** That's the gist of it anyway.
