An enigma

An IM from her today...been awhile. How are you? She'll ask. I'm fine and you? Hows work been? The same. I'll reply. Have you gone out lately? I'll inquire? No, she'll say. Silly small talk goes on like this. Her IM's make me crazy...I think of nothing else after we've chatted but her.
A strawberry blonde, two years my senior, recently divorced. She works in the nursing field. Ok, I'm hooked..she's my ideal woman. One whom I could spend my life with. But we've never met. just words on a screen is all we've been to each other up till now.
Is she timid..no...I don't think that is the case, not for all her bravado, her coy flirting.
So what is it.. why can't we be more then just words on a screen. Open your heart my lady love, you have nothing to fear...my soul is yours for the asking.
