Life, and sex in particular, after heroin addiction

Hi, I’m not sure where to even start!!! Lol! So...... after almost 20 years of opiate addiction, I am now in recovery! I have been clean for a year and a half with the exception of a 2 month relapse when my Femdom Goddess had to return to Europe when her visa expired!!! I was crushed and unable to cope. Fortunately, I have been given the chance to hop back on the wagon!!! In any 12 step program, a rule of thumb is, “ don’t begin a new relationship until u have been clean for a year”. I guess that’s where I will begin when I come back to this, the pros and cons of sexual relationships in early recovery!! At least a couple things I have learned!!! Will begin tomorrow!!!

 Best of luck with your recovery, and discipline when it comes to abstaining. Although it wasn't heroin/opiates, I struggled with alcohol abuse for a number of years. When I accepted the fact that I had a problem, I had to make a break from hanging out in bars, clubs etc. Now part of the vetting process for me is making sure a potential partner is not an alcohol/drug abuser as I never want to return to that lifestyle.
