Knowing what's on the other side

Being on the site for a while now I have realized many are called but few are chosen. So many times some of us reach out to others and yet we are never taken seriously. Is it because so many of you have been disappointed to such an extent that you prefer not to respond to others? How many of you have had such experiences?

 Exactly what LaLa said....yes..past experiences dictate how we engage or attempt to engage in other pursuits....or not.

She has also told me in the past to take EVERYTHING anyone says with a.....huge grain of salt. That in itself, if we can do it ..lessens the disappointment.

.......and then specifically, people need to locate like minded individuals....that takes patience and perseverance. Both of which are in short supply here ~~

 Thanks for the responses. I would prefer to be honest than to be deceitful. If I am not accepted for being truthful then let others live their lies.
My truthfulness keeps me free and I look for honesty, not the fake profiles and those who dwell on hiding the truth. Eventually it catches up and as I always say, "all unfair games will play over"
