The root of the catfish We’ve all encountered them. Some of us have even kept talking to them after we figured it . After all, ya gotta talk to somebody. Aside from the clear motivation behind a sorry ass gay posing as a to do some peen-snooping, many catfish seem to have no clear goal or reason for what they are doing. It intrigued me to know what they wanted to achieve with their fake persona. But I could never get one to come clean that they even WERE a catfish, much less open up about WHY. Most are pathological in their ruse. Until one night, I was on a dating site and for a few conversations I was oblivious, but eventually I caught on. It must have been a thorough faker because very few fool me after years of watching. Keep in mind, this was before video became ubiquitous. Now, either prove to me who you say you are or I know what you are. Anyway I must have caught on earlier than the fraud was expecting, and the proof I had of deceit was incontrovertible. I could feel Its panic over the phone. But instead of just clicking off and blocking me, this time my question of why was met with an answer I hadn’t expected: “I don’t know,” she said. After that, I knew this catfishing was something more than a mechanism to obtain whatever, this was looking like compulsion. Stay tuned for part 2  |

The people who do this need to have a psych evaluation. I don't get them and I've had a few also pretending to want to be everything that you want and more. Which we all know is NOT possible. I wish you luck out there.    Tangie247
