Do people receive gold for free? Just wondering, i have seen comments about people getting gold for free. Mainly women but just wondering if this is a thing? |

It's true. Men pay full price to subsidize free gold memberships for women to attract more paying men to the site. It's a scam as old as civilization.

I used to know a woman on here that got free gold but now she is a unpaid member .

I guess there are far more men than women on this site and they might give some women free membership to keep the men paying. If this is the case, i think that they could be opened to being sued for discrimination! I recently read an article about women on a site getting certain privileges to entice men and were successfully sued by a man for discrimination. It could have been 'fake news' but it's an interesting subject either way!!!

Yes, for many years. Due to things like activity with my profile, logging on daily, blog participation. They gave me free when I let my paid membership lapse and did not renew., many years ago. They just told me that free is phasing out.
