Why am I here? Why online dating? Why Adult Finder? My profile is fairly straightforward on this but yet I’m often still asked about my intentions with this online dating. What is my goal? Why are you really here? I’m writing this blog in the hope that my intention, my goals, are made clear. My intentions are honorable and honest in that I wish to be in a long-term relationship with someone who is loyal, honest, sincere and where there is mutual attraction and chemistry. Then there is reality of many obstacles and hard work required to make that happen. I’m looking for someone with whom I can share my life and build a real future. Someone to join me on this journey in life and support one each other when times are hard and celebrate when they are good. A relationship is a foundation in life and nothing is more important than whom we choose to share our life with. There is no decision more profound and life changing than finding that individual with whom you’re in love. And, I believe with the right woman by your side, you’re entire life experience is amplified. It fuels the fire and creates motivation to be a better man. It makes day-to-day life easier and more fulfilling. I’m not built to fly solo. I do better with the right woman at my side - it’s that simple and that honest. At the same time, there is a reality that exists where nothing in life worth having comes easy. There needs to be chemistry, attraction, and certain things you cannot obtain from pictures and text messages. It takes a lot of time and effort and actually meeting in person, going on dates, finding that connection. Dating is not easy, it takes effort, time, and might even being stressful at times but it’s an unfortunate necessity. I've been married most of my adult life it seems so I’ve already “set that bar” as it pertains to my ability to settle down and be in a committed relationship. I was married to the same woman for 20 years, never strayed, and for the most part it was a happy and successful marriage where we simply just grew apart. Getting<b> divorced </font></b>was a mutually accepted decision and I’ve been single for more than a year. I have not dated or even tried since getting<b> divorced </font></b>- until now. I’ve raised five to become successful adults which I feel says a lot about me as a person. I’m patient, kind, intelligent and wise. I chose online dating as one option because I have a demanding career and limited time. I would prefer not to be alone but I would choose that option over the wrong relationship and therefore I’m not in a rush. I’m committed to finding the right person and with the understanding that that means, most likely, a lot of dates and hopefully some lasting friendships but with the ultimate goal of finding my soulmate. |
