What's with the people on here?

What's with the people on here? Chatted the other night with someone who said they were from KY. They seemed extremely nice. They even sent their phone to . Checked later and the area code was from MT. The picture they sent, provided information of that picture from 20 and it was from Alaska. Disappointed. Has that happened to you? The site also seems to block me from people that have tried to reach out. Its a pretty frustrating site. What is your experience here?  |

I find that I have the opposite problem. Unfortunately, guys here are hit on by scammers more often than not so they will become a bit jaded. I have had several guys in my local area come on gang busters then totally ghost me. These are the same fellas who complain the loudest about people on here not being real or not wanting to meet. Yet here I am. XO J

That's Senior Sizzle for you. There are lots of fakes on here but there are some real too. You'll figure out pretty quick the fake ones. FYI I does absolutely no good to report these fake profiles more then likely Senior Sizzle will do nothing about it and if they do they'll just let the same fake/scammer profile back on. You're going to gets some members come in here and tell you that you should sign up for a premium account but trust me I've been a premium member on this site many times and it's still the same shitty site and service. This site for the most part is a scam and has been that way the entire ten plus years I've been on and off of it.

save your $$$ the site is full of all kinds of technical glitches in addition to the issues you raise

I wouldn't put too much into someone having a cell phone number with a city code different from where they are located; landlines will have local numbers but cell phone numbers stay the same unless the service provider is changed. Without a paid membership this site will not allow you to send or read e-mails unless to/from a member who has paid for this extra service.

I agree. So the percentage play comes down to finding a real person. The hope is that a really person is one that blogs. So that might be a place to start looking

I agree with this comment after awhile the person who is lying about something trips themselves up and patience is the key here and recognizing when the trip up comes ..true sensible words...

A blind eye. Yes there are people associated with the profiles , but not always who they say they are or what their true intentions might be.

Good point. A cross section of the people of the world here. Some honest, some not. Determining that is the key.

Excellent point. Doing a blog keeps me up at night. You do need time for this. I use it as a break from work. But most of the bloggers seem to real people.

Sounds like good advise on the vetting process. I did not confront this person. I just stopped with the contact. It seemed risky. Had another issue where a gray picture person asked me over to their residence. I suggested a public meet. That stopped the conversation.
