Exercise, what is your routine?
Exercise, what is your routine? Just curious about what people are doing to stay in shape or get in shape. Are you working out at a gym or home? What does your workout include? Weights, aerobics, yoga? Perhaps something else. Let us know. My routine includes weights in my basement. Hiking, biking, skiing and kayaking. |

I go to the gym usually 4 to 5 times a week. usually do a mix of things, run for 30 minutes, push ups and seat ups. then walk for 15 minutes. also do the stairs machine for 20 minutes. jumping jacks, also different work out for my arms like weights and other things. I am also in a rowing training class. I do that 3 times per week. I like it cause between the gym and the rowing training they keep me busy so I sleep good at night.

I think the key is to active and to diversify your traning. Sounds like you are. Keep up the great job.

That works well. I still cut my own lawn with just a regular push mower. Shovel my driveway and neighbors when it snows. Some by hand is a great way to get some exercise.

That very active lifestyle should keep you in shape. Don't stop.. I enjoy the summer when I get back on the lake at hit the kayak. Great exercise. The rowing training is the part that kills me, each session is brutal. there have been times when I don't finish the training session, and there are people in their 50's or 60's that keep going. I admired them cause they put me to shame, there is a man that is probably in his early 60's and he can go for an hour with no break...I am gasping for air after 25 minutes of rowing, I respect that man Lol

I don't mind the gym, I actually love going to the gym. The rowing training is the part that kills me, each session is brutal. there have been times when I don't finish the training session, and there are people in their 50's or 60's that keep going. Snow overnight. Shoveled my driveway and my neighbors. About a 45 minute work out.

12 inches of snow today. My exercise consisted of shoveling the driveway 3 times , snow over night tonight so more shoveling tomorrow. Its a good workout for the core, legs and arms.
