The WORLD'S BIGGEST LIE...

I've been thinking a lot about this whole idea of Global Warming lately, for a number of reasons.

One is I work in the environmental industry and another is because I don't trust Al Gore as far as I can shoot my load. My first reaction when I learned he had made a film about climate change was that there must be something in it for him...and those like him.

I just watched "The Great Global Warming Swindle" and it makes a whole lot more sense to me than this cult headed by Gore et al.

The Little Ice Age in the 1400's, the Medieval Warm Period, the Holocene Maximum to name a few are all explained much better (along with our current situation) than the current theory that human generated CO2 is responsible for climate change...the fact of the matter is CO2 increases don't cause climate change, climate change causes CO2 levels to increase or decrease, and it lags the change by 800 to 1000 years.

The chief cause of climate change is not human activity but changes in radiation from the sun.

There is a massive amount of evidence now accumulating from observers in many parts of the world that a significant degree of "warming'' has recently been taking place all through our solar system, from dwindling ice fields on Mars, to Jupiter, and even as far out as Neptune's moon Triton and Pluto.

The bottom line is, I believe this "Cult" about humans causing Global warming is politically and financially motivated...not scientific.

What better reason to jack gas prices through the roof than to try and save the planet?

What better reason than saving humanity is there to prevent developement in the third world, keeping the money and power in the hands of a few?

There is a far too violent response to anyone proposing a different theory of Global warming than what's out there. The effort to silence detractors to human caused climate change is scary...why?...because this is turning into big business.

Don't take my word for it. Look up "The Great Global Warming Swindle" and watch it for yourself.

What do you think?

Is it true or do you feel we're being swindled?

Have a great day my friends...

I have to agree with you, the earth has been here way longer than we puny humans have been screwing it up and has so much more weather history than what we know. I happen to think it's just a natural cycle of global warming and cooling. Maybe earth's way of putting us back in our place with floods and ice ages. I have no doubt that we are damaging the earth but don't believe we are the only cause. It would be nice if the global warming and cooling just froze or burned up the idiots on our planet and left us smart people, huh?....LMAO

Global warming is one issue, but I do believe we need to keep our air and water clean, cut down on the use and abuse of natural resources for many reasons.

BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The damn eco pshychos are so full of shit. And so is Al Gore. And you are right, what better way to raise prices!

The sun is closer to earth and hotter now than ever for as long as we can determine. Amazing, a great big fire ball gets closer and things heat up! Novel concept, that!

I had to share my view of this here at least, seems like if you aren't with the establishment it's hard to be heard.

Lusty~

First let me apologize for taking so long to get to your blog. I wanted to catch up on everyone and it has taken a lot longer than I expected.

Now, I tried to read you blog regarding Global Warming but I was distracted the entire time ...

See you began by mentioning "I don't trust Al Gore as far as I can shoot my load" so the rest of the post I am wondering just how far Lusty can shoot his load.

1 Foot? 2? Maybe 3 if he is given enough motivation? What kind of motivation would it take? A great blow job? Lap dance? 15 belly dancers on table top? My mind began to wander you see. It was terrible! The whole time I was still following the words of your post but nothing was sinking in ... blah, blah, blah ... melted honey comb over silky tanned skin?

So you see you are going to have be cautious when trying to educate me. I am very easily distractable. You begin making reference to sex, and I gone... lost to another world, my own perversion has taken over. But, that is not such a bad thing. It is why you love me, or at least that is what I keep telling myself.

Excellent topic. I'm not sure what I think yet. I'll get the video and watch it.

I'm not sure how the Global Warming theory can facilitate swindling? I would think that it would facilitate construction and design of alternate energy sources if anything.

LustyTaurus replies on 3/18/2007 8:09 am:
the swindling happens when they use human caused Global Warming to preent third world developement or raise fuel prices or charge special taxes in the name of something that's a lie. We need to have clean air and pure water which I support...but requires different measures than the glbal warming buzz.

Climates change - period. Always have and always will.

My concern is more with the pollutants that are causing difficulties in our children. Asthma, for instance, has taken on a life of it's own.

And to be real honest? I am so tired of shoveling snow that......just bring on the heat!

Great post LT.. Made the wheels on my bus go round and round~

I hear ya on the snow!!...I support things that will reduce solid waste (my living) or improve air and water quality...indeed things that will improve life for ALL humanity. These types of measures can be quite different from the Global Warming caused by humans cult.

A lot of the information gathered to monitor the weather such a temperature comes from weather stations. The stations used to be out in the country for the most part but the cities have grown. Cities are warmer than the country side, so the data is corrupt. Here, in Alabama, it can be as much as 10 degrees warmer in Birmingham than it is in OverYander, where I live.

If indeed landmasses are "floating" then it makes sense to me that they can be affected by the sheer weight of our populations and all the things we've made such as buildings, blacktop, vehicles and even all the waste we create. Perhaps this is one of the sources of the oceans rising?

Who knows?, to consider everything that could influence weather boggles my mind.

If you really wanna know more about this, read Michael Crichton's book, State of Fear. It's an eye opener. Besides, he's just a great author, I thoroughly enjoy his style of writing and this book is full of information. Do like me and go to the thrift store to buy books... I got thousands of pages of reading for about 10 bucks as opposed to spending that for a couple hundred pages at CVS, lol.

LustyTaurus replies on 3/18/2007 8:32 am:
thanks for the book lead..I will look it up. That's mostly the point here with the climate cult...it is very complex and we need to listen to everything, understand everything.

Do you remember the big "nuclear winter" scare back in the early 1980s? Did you actually try reading the original article that triggered it? There were enough hedges, caveats, etc. in that thing to sail a fleet of supertankers through. If the detonations are distributed just right in terms of latitude, longitude, and altitude....if the weather is doing just the right things in the right places....if...if...if!

There are also documented short-term climate changes due major to volcanic eruptions. Krakatoa led to a "year without a summer" due to the cooling effect of all the ash it threw up into the stratosphere. Mount Pinatubo several years ago had its effect.

There was even an attempt to blame airplane contrails for cooling effects, the "study" being the several days of no commercial flights i the US after 9/11. They saw a 1 or 2 degree Fahrenheit increase in temperature those days. Never mind that the typical temperature ranges for those days are a lot more than 1 or 2 degrees Fahrenheit, here was more "proof" of the impact on airplane contrails on climate.

We may as well face it, the only long term solution to our worries about global warming is for all 6 billion plus of us silly humans to just drop dead. It won't solve the problem immediately, but at least we won't have to listen to worry-warts crying about it anymore.

Did you catch the report that Al Gore's average monthly electric bill is in the neighborhood of $1000? How many folks do you know who spend that much? I don't know any individuals who could affor that much.

You can blame this rant on purpletrashcan, who sent me over here today.

I agree with Sweet that something has to be done to stem the abuse we are inflicting upon planet Earth. Whether it be ignorance leading to overpopulation in certain countries, or ignorance leading to excessive consumption in others, the results are the same: abuse.

On a separate note, a gallon of gas here on Long Island is $2.79 today for the cheap stuff. This may be oversimplifying things, but if the oil-rich countries we are spending millions on would pay us back in barrels of oil, the price would be much lower. They are charging what they do because they can get away with it, and they realize that Americans are heavily dependent on energy. I don't understand why we aren't busy constructing turbines all over the country to harvest energy from the wind, water, and sun. Increasing the amount of energy obtained by alternate sources to 75% would help preserve what little fossil fuels we have left as well as beat the oil barons at their own game.

Forgive me my political ignorance...

good points hippie...I think there is a great deal of effort being put into the developement of Hydrogen as a fuel as well as electric and hybrid cars...not to mention ethanol and biodiesel. Hygrogen has the potential in theory to replace fossil fuels because of it's availability on the planet...but much needs to be done to make it safe and practical.

Please please please... check out ************** .... then go to "books & movies" ... then click on "State of Fear" ... there is an amazing essay there by the author regarding global warming and scary reminder about our past and how easily we Americans are mislead His book, while considered fiction, is a must read... it's based on REAL fact and science, which is all credited and referenced. I was stunned when I read it, and more stunned when I read the author's notes at the end - in fact, skip to the notes in the back first, then read the book. I've read it twice, and am not finished yet I'm sure.

Apparently the depth of depravity here is bottomless... don't you feel right at home?

I saw this documentary, and it was interesting. Remembering of course that both this and Al Gore's movies are polemics and don't meta-analyse the problematics of their own positions.

I watch the weather forecast daily because I am a free-flyer. What I do know is that anything longer than a 24 hour hour forecast is unreliable. So wholescale climate predictions are at best educated guesses.

In truth the climate is so complex that any modelling of it will be flawed, because not all variables will be correctly factored in and any minor variable could have a catastrophe-effect on the others, according to chaos theory.

So nobody knows anything but the climate IS getting warmer.

I do think the actions that reduce CO2 emissions have other more important benefits. Not relying on fossil fuels means a vastly reduced dependence on the Middle East, not to mention prioritising the value of coal and oil as raw materials in manufacture, planting trees has all the benefits of reducing the impact of deforestation and its impact on erosion, aridity and local climate change, recycling means we are less dependent on mining for more raw materials and it is slightly cheaper energy-wise to reprocess than manufacture anew.

So although scientists speak with authority (their reputations are based on how authoritatively they speak) in truth nobody knows.

I also know that the UK government (praised by Gore for this) is using climate change as an excuse to bring in increasingly draconian laws concerning motorists, and a whole range of new ways of screwing money out of us. They already tax petrol to the level of 70% and they want a "carbon tax" on top. Hang on a moment ....... isn't a tax on petrol, a CARBON based substance, a carbon tax we're paying already? Duh?

Read a Book Called the "Skeptical Environmentalist" by Bjorn Lomborg. co2 is a minor gas compared to methane. Yeah the stuff that everything and anything that dies or craps emits. Eco-Logic is another great source of info as well as Junk Science dot you know what.

Wasn't it 30 years or so ago these same nuts were forcasting a "New Ice Age. Historical data actually supports this btw.. NOAA was blamed for last summers Gas price spike by "Forecasting" a banner year for Hurricanes. These are the same whackJobs that need to look out the window to tell you what the weather will be with any accuracy.. I feel better about talking to a fortune teller about this stuff than a "Scientist".

I love the Gore "Expose" as well about his actual "Energy Conservation" he has going on at his house.. Fucking Loser Excuse my German..

thanks for the reference material...about our dear Mr. Gore. I learned he has been buying "Green House Gas Credits"...whatever the fuck those are...to supposedly offset the excessive use in his house. The theory is that by doing so, an individual's overall contribution to GHG's can be reduced without any, or minimal, lifestyle changes. Here's the kicker...he owns the company where he's buying these "credits".........frickin' dickwad must think the rest of the world are idiots!!

Hi Lusty,

dead on the money there, my friend. Until we have a projection engine that takes every factor into account, we're just guessing. And the people with the most to lose and the most money, get to do the most guessing. Ever noticed, how there is a new form of terrorism going on? Environmental terrorists, who can badger, harass, threaten and tax you to death, all in the name of the environment.

Don't get me wrong... I believe in clean living. But the people that chirp in my ear about my smoking habit, are the ones that run a fleet of trucks up and down my country's highways.

And thanks for visiting my silly little bloggie. I hope to see more of you around.
