~~ The Tracks

In the grocery store ....and passing by all the items i used to before hubs passed and left for . The memories brought liquid to my eyes which proceeded to roll down my cheeks. Thinking about only what i wanted to cook/eat seemed rather selfish. Said to myself, " self, this is now your reality".

Driving home in the rain, the song....The Tracks of My Tears came on the radio. That was an era when we could hear the lyrics and they actually made sense.

" My smile is my makeup, i wear since my break-up with you ./'./'./'./ ".

I know and am quite familiar with that kind of smile.

The drive and the music produced more tears.....but...walking in to the house, the rain.....blended in with the Track of My Tears~~

.......and they are predicting more rain for the rest of the week. The trick or treaters will be gathering treats in the rain.

Be safe folks ~~

Oh I did that same thing my first grocery trip after he died. Grabbing a large item then realizing I am buying for one. The tears just came. It was my first realization, I am now a “one”. Time does help. It will get some better.

Thanks Positively.....i felt like a blubbering idiot....alone n crying in a huge market. Glad someone can recognize that response....

....with each passing hour/day/month/year...ive felt better. Then something happens......and throws me back into the abyss.

I ve always had the strength to crawl back out , and start anew though. So far ....anyway. ~~

I've never gotten outta that habit. Except for cucumbers 🥒... they never last. But meats?
Five lbs of meatloaf? Bring it on. Twenty chicken thighs? Oh yeah...
Pretending is fine and you can get creative with the side dishes.
I still pause... when I'm lugging those huge bales of toilet paper. I mean... how much can I pretend, right? 😮 🤔
Yep... I hear you.
Happy Halloween... 🎃👻🦇😊☠️👍👽🤡

Life is a Game, the older we get the more we lose until finally we lose the Game.
I think what your feeling is the most normal emotion we can have.

My Mom loved all kinds of music. Even though she’s been gone 17 years, I still tear up when some of her favourites are played. Music has that magical ability to transport us back to those special places and times.

Yep......no matter the length in time, little things bring those memories flooding back, music being one. Another for me is scents....sometimes ill cook something and the spices remind me of mom cooking , or someone will walk by with my husbands cologne on. Yup...the memories quickly return ( sigh ). Thanks for stopping by~~
