I guess thats why they call it the blues

Dont wish it away
Dont look at it like its forever
Between you and me I could honestly say
That things can only get better...

The blues, sometimes just a feeling that over comes you. Usually out of the blue, and not always for any real reason. Where I live here near Cleveland my bouts seem to coincide with the weather a lot. This of course sucks, since Cleveland has only 166 sunny days on average a year. If you think this sounds low you are correct. It is less than half of the day in a year, and only 80% of the US average of 205 days. We also get an inch more of rain on average, and 35 inches more of snow. All equating to a Sperling's Comfort Index of 55 out of a 100. Just like Cleveland is average lol

In fact there are only 14 largish cities in the continental US that has less sunny days. So I am sitting here like I usually do when I get the melancholy. I put on a play list of music. Now the music I play will depend on where my blues are at. I have a play list I play filled with Purple Rain (Prince), The flame (Cheap Trick), Love Song (Tesla), Love Bites (Def Leppard), Love Hurts (Nazareth), Baby come back (Player), Fleetwood Mac's Rumors album, Wish you were here (Pink Floyd) and a few other. If the sad songs (which say so much) do not get the job done I may switch it up.

If I do then it is a bunch Seether, Bowling for Soup, Green Day, Hinder, Toto, Michael Jackson, Prince, Sum 41, Sublime, and the like. It is funny how music can be used to define your mood, make a statement, or just forget life lol.

Anyway that is me today, just a little down trying to snap it out. I know in life everything has balance, so eventually I will either feel better or some thing will pop up out of the blue and all will be good.

What do you do to combat the blues when you get them?

You know music definitely is a cure for the blues I am feeling them myself today, and I just wanted to let you know that on my blog you commented on earlier I deleted all the comments and made it a read only blog because I don't want the haters coming after the commenters on that blog. I hope your blues disappear and the rest of your day is sunny one..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

No I understand exactly what you are saying. There is something to it. Hence the first playlist is all sad songs.

Your dad was a smart man, I do the same (although if I get sick it only lasts 24 hours). I say if because I really do not get sick.

Thanks a little campy tv did the trick right before bed.
