Interview with a crossdresser

"I'd like get know you better, if you'll let me..." He asked confidently.

She fusses with a tangled mass of jewelry, unkotting her bracelets and bands in her hands.

"Is that so...?" she retorted as she briefly shifted her eyes to meet his before returning to the task of untangling the jewelry in her palms.

"Yes, it would be a pleasure to get to know you, you seem interesting." He replied, reassuringly, and with the grace of a gentleman.

"What makes me interesting to you? I'm confident in saying that you'll soon be met with disapointment. I'm pretty dull".

He studied her for a moment, then persisted, "you make your own jewelry from what i can see... was that always the case?

Releuctantly, she spoke, "I have kind of always made own, the fancier pieces are gifts, from friends and family". She pauses, again, looking into his eyes, measuring the uncertainty she had towards him while admiring his expressive facial features.

"Do you often meet with crossdressers?" She asked.

"Not often. Meeting people online is a mixed bag of nuts, emphasis on the nuts". He began smirking to himself, pleased with his wit.

She smiled, then fixed her gaze again in her hands.

"Is there anything in particular you want to know?"

" what you're willing share. I'm curious about how long you've been crossdressing. You're quite good at blending into the crowd, if i didn't know, i'd have taken you for a 'normal' ".

She thought herself a moment. Her mind drifted towards her fashion, looking the part of a punk that didn't get the memo that plaid was of style. catching her own reflection in the window, she could see her heavy dark eye liner, and darker shades of eyeshadow, her bold purple lipstick. She thought, 'if this is normal, how weird can people get?'.

"I mean, you seem, uh exotic, but unmistakingly feminine" he stammered slightly, sensing her apprehension of her own apearence.

She smiled once more, happy have been given such a compliment.

"it's been a while, mostly in private, recently in public. When i first started going , I didn't have a clue about style or anything, I kinda still don't. i wear what i feel the least uncomfortable in, and i try not be too, uhm, 'manly".

Her became flush with embarassment and anxiety. talking about things like this in public was still a new experience, being in public without speaking alone was a fresh feeling. She worried about the deepness of her voice, the tones she chose, the inflections of her expression, and her posture.

"I'm having trouble seeing you as being 'manly'".

Her eyes began to through him, the noise around her faded. Her thoughts flashed memories in a damp cold gym, hitting a punching bag, the shouting of her couch as he drilled her in the ways and forms of fighting. She remembered also, early mornings, waiting in a freezing vehicle , clutching a bolt action rifle, and a handful of shells. Images flooded quickly too ,of her father showing her how to field dress a deer, the sight of gore as meat was harvested from a hunt Crimson puddles slowly turning a dark purple as blood began to freeze on ice and snow A bead of sweat begins to form on her brow, her hands start to tremble.

She quietly cracks her knuckles beneath the table, calming her nerves at the habit.

"Uhm, thank you, i guess.... uh, you don't mind if i step for another cigarette would you?" She asked him as she began reaching for the puch of tobacco in her satchel.

"Not at all, here, i'll lend you a TM, unless you're keen on puffing rollies"

"Thank you"

They rose, and collected thier overcoats.

The stepped the door, the cold winter air blew in from outside, then stopped as the door closed.
