Cloak and Swagger

The mirror shows a face i'd rather not see. It's a nice picture, but not what I want to be. Dressed up in haphazard fashion, looking more tragic than starved for attention. When Playing boy becomes less than satisfaction, hide away in the closet to find distraction. The world isn't a harsh reality so much as a place for complacency, is it so wrong to want to look somewhat pretty? Inhibriation could only delay the frustration at an isolated situation, where's my peers, where's home's location? Why can't i dress the part while at my vocation? The falacies of societies, their fetishised realities, are consuming what little is left of this non sanity we call our democracy. When freedom isn't free, what's the definition of hypocracy? What's clothing matter, when so few are masters, is wanting the freedom to dress as you please such a disaster? Why, is a 'man' in a dress met with so much laughter? is picking on different people really what their after? Why can't I sit alone with my lager? Why do i need to blend in with zombies and stagger?

...so goes life, with it's cloak and swagger.
