Yes.....i ve had that feeling. Came home from work, called to husband...no answer.....so i go upstairs to see him on the floor beside the bed, unable to answer me. It was raining, the ambulance driver, cautions me to ' be careful following us to the hospital'. The feeling overcame me, when they wouldnt take me to his curtained off area, but instead led me to this small dimly lit room, and left me there alone. The feeling was overwhelming. What was maybe 8 minutes, seemed like hours , when a dr n nurse came in to tell me my husband (my lifepartner for 42 yrs ) was now dead.

I am very glad you were able to recover yours ~~

......and no prayers and swearing didnt help then and hasnt helped in the aftermath

Stay safe ....

The irony of this minor crisis is that my phone is equipped with ALL of the latest security switches. I just didn't click them on. I wanted to take pictures quickly. Yeah... I use the cloud 🌥 as a well.
Ask me if I'll be more careful in the future? lol 😂
There are great photo ops here - with all history surrounding me.
Sounds to me like I could have used your advice - before I carelessly stepped out of my car! 👍 So... dja ever work in IT security? lol 😂 Ya have it down pat! 👍 ❗🍷🍷😎
No IT security but ya a type of security where a misstep could be career limiting. Just wait a couple of year until I am just near retirement then I will be losing my work cell everywhere...lol.

Your 'lifeline' was significantly more important, vital and impactful than my trivial phone.
Perspective on life's trials and tribulations can be measured in so many ways. I eventually would have survived the loss of my phone.
I hope you eventually found some solace somewhere, somehow in your loss.

There is always solace in prayer. Notwithstanding my facetious attempt to make light of MY plight - I have used prayer, meditation, and other means to put closure on things that have affected me in life.
I hope .... somehow you can find solace eventually .... It exists...

I've lost a cell phone in my car FFS. Had to get a neighbor to call me so I could find the thing.
I've also lost one in my home.... Had another neighbor call.
Then there was this one time I lost it in the house... but the phone battery went dead. TWO fricken days later....
I was so angry at that damn device I punished it by throwing it out and getting a brand new one - with extended battery life.
Ah.... Phones. The shit they've put me (perhaps all of us) through.

I can't even tell you how many times I've lost my phone.... It has spent an entire day in my drive way. It has been left in the restroom at work. It has somehow managed to travel under the hood of my car when I checked the oil. One of my old phones still reside under Ocqueoc Falls... As I dropped it in while taking a pic.

Ok... Those falls? Classic and sad 😔. I would have freaked out!
And how... could that phone 📱 ever remained lodged in that engine compartment? 🤔 Yep... phones and the stuff they put us in through.
I lost my phone in my home and the battery was almost dead. I heard it ring once... before it said goodbye. Turned my house upside down to try and find that bugger. Agh... 😮🍷🍷😎

lol 😂... THAT, sounds like a classic! It seems when any of us are in a situation where we loose something valuable, we're in that twilight zone between - prayer and SWEARING 🤬. I wonder which one works best?
So... ya musta been happy for bumper find! lol 😂 😮 👍

You appreciate honesty - or so your profile states - so trust me; THIS, was a true story. 😮😊❗
I would have taken a picture of my phone next to that motor cycle but IT, was lying on the ground. It's tough to do the impossible, right? lol 😂

Strange how life throws you curve balls, right? 😮 Anyway... I found that phone 📱 beside my car. It DOES sound unbelievable. That's why I was so happy to see it laying there. Ya never had something strange happen to ya? 😊

I have lost a few things in my life and one was a child. As for my cell phone, I do not have anything in it and half of the time I never carry it with me. As for a life partner, yelling and screaming at the Lord will not get you that. Yes I ask him to put the one in my life every night, but it will happen when God thinks I am ready. Everything is in is time not your's .

The Light is shinning and she is lonely and waiting in the darkness.

Loosing a child is certainly more vital than what I lost.
I guess I'm reliant on that thing a touch too much, if you know what I mean.
It was a panic situation and at the time - prayers and getting angry were my two options.
You're lucky you're NOT tied to your phone . Good for you !!!
I understand what you mean.
